A Brutal Review of The Brutalist from a Catholic Priest
The Brutalist is an award winning film already and has been nominated for more at the Oscars. Fr. Edward saw the movie without learning much about it to see what the hype was all about. He found morally questionable content with a hyper sexuality in the film forcing him to question the film and reflect on keeping custody of one's eyes while at the movies. Fr. Edward offers his brutal review of The Brutalist.

I might have to take my vitamins to get thru such a long movie BUT I love Adrian Brody. He is an excellent actor.
👍🏽😂
Yes, Father adults can eat and drink from pouches. All the more, that drink sounds good and healthy. I want to try it, too. Enjoy!
If you enjoy Noka, drink Noka do not listen to anyone. Keep the tast buds happy
Depear father I love Mary since childhood,I’m now writing a bk on “ Family “ Bonding , taking fly members closer to Jesus,Niw one topic is Mother Mary, Could you please help me Ta & God bless your great work
Thank you for featuring this good & holy man, George Cardinal Pell. May God rest his soul in peace. ♥️🙏🏼💙
There was a Subway by my old work location that continually ran out of BREAD. They had one person do the ordering and if he wasn't in, it didn't get done. We would call ahead to see if they had bread or not and then one of us would run down and get our lunch. We still laugh about that today!!
I, BELIEVE IN THE PIOUS UNION OF ST. JOSEPH, AMEN 🙏
Concerning remembering in prayer those lost in the plane crashes, what comes to mind is what is written on the first page of DAY 3 in the book 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory, The last four things.
Hey everyone father n word sounds bad
That 70's Show wasn't enough I guess. Lol.
"Such an interesting perspective-love hearing about Anna's unique jury duty experience!"
Thank you! It was very cool! God bless
@@annanuzzomusic You're very welcome! Glad you liked it. God bless you too!
Did they ask you why u should not serve? I was and answered I was hard of hearing. They eliminated me as a potential juror.
No. They didn’t.
Thank you Fr. Edward for asking me to share about my experience! Was a pleasure 😍
th-cam.com/video/OhwmUSogT8U/w-d-xo.html God Bless you father may we all meet merrily in paradise!!
Catholics and Orthodox agree with Mary Movie because teach spotless ever virgin vowed in Temple which is taken from banned book by early popes even called The Protevangelium of (said) James from 2nd century cult yet the gospels indicate she knew Joseph intimately one year after betrothal/a nunciation time spawning younger brothers and sisters of Jesus. Matthew 1:25 and Mark 6:3. Cousins is directed to Elizabeth and Mary. Luke 1:36.❤
It is R rated so I do not usually go see those movies. Used to be that R meant it was restricted to only 17 and older. Wonder if Hollywood is classifying the ratings equally on all films. Thankful you can afford to go. Some are not able to afford it and would like to go. Also, movie going has not been the same for some since the COVID shut down closed the movie theaters in for a period of time in 2020.
I am a Roman Catholic and a Religious. I agree with the Episcopal Bishop. I wish and pray more of our Bishops and priest and even the Pope to speak out about issues, especially concerning Trump. I don't believe the bishop said anything wrong. We need more like her.
He taught me in High School. Great guy.
"Fascinating story-Sister Blandina Segale's courage and determination in the Wild West is truly inspiring!"
St. Faustina: “In order to hear the voice of God, one has to have silence in one's soul and to keep silence; not a gloomy silence, but an interior silence; that is to say, recollection in God. One can speak a great deal without breaking silence and, on the contrary, one can speak little and be constantly breaking silence. ... God does not give Himself to a chattering soul which, like a drone in a beehive, buzzes around but gathers no honey. A talkative soul is empty inside.” (St. Faustina’s Diary, Paragraph 118)
Dear Lord, please grant me the grace to discern when You want me to speak out and when You want me to be silent. They Will be done. 🙏🏼❤️

There is a Shrine of of La Sellett in Kenosha County
After doom scrolling i needed that. Thanks. Love to see more
I believe you are missing a small wine and holly water container. There should also be a eucharist container to give the sacraments
Everyone just relax - this is a MOVIE not a Documentary. Sure they took some artistic license but as a traditional cradle Catholic I can tell you the quality of the production and acting surrounding the message of love and hope in this film was a wonderful message for all but especially for young women. If you have young women or girls In your family they should watch this film - It will inspire them with courage and love to face the world.
I have that same painting of St Therese - passed down in my family through 3 generations
Be blessed fathers,,,❤
Thank you for the reminders! As an aside about Door County Coffee, I forgot to seek out some Jingle Java this year. Maybe I'll be lucky enough that my Woodman's in Beloit still has it. :)
Yes, I do…Marie, a former principal at Sacred Heart school while I was Board President 💖 a very inspiring woman in my life.
Trying to promote Mary as a feminist when she is just the opposite, made by a money seeking/loving Joel Osteen , a Protrstant,
Thanks for sharing your St. Joseph statues. They are inspiring. I have the sleeping St. Joseph statue and have been looking for different statues. And I too thought of an aged St. Joseph but learning more about him has changed my understanding that he had to have been a youthful man to journey with Mama Mary and be her and our Lord's protector.
Love the scene of Mary resting ❤️💖
Treat Mary like a God or the church will freak out.
Fr. Kubicki ♥️🙏🏼💙 together with Fr. Looney ♥️🙏🏼💙
Praying for many & holy priests. In His Holy Name, through her Immaculate Heart. ♥️ 🙏🏼💙🌹 We don't have enough priests in our diocese to hear confessions. Most churches allow 30-45 minutes & there are often people left standing in line without receiving the sacrament. 😢
Put books in neighborhood little library. There is one by Franklin Park on Franklin St. 😊

Dear Fr, l hope you see this message. I am a married father of 4 grown up children. I live in Ireland ☘️ and work in a foundry pouring molten metal. Anyway l listen to your podcasts on Spotify. Both Mystical City and Anne Catherine Emmerich throughout the day. I just wanted to thank you and to let you know you are making a difference in the life of a guy so far from you. Wishing you every blessing for the new year.
good job! thank you
It is morally repugnant and blasphemy to call Mary the mediatrix of grace. She was the single vessel to bring our Lord into the world. However, grace comes from God alone. Traditionalists are attempting to make her a non human. She will always be human.
This Protestant really enjoyed your Catholic discussion about my Protestant film that had a few Catholic shades here and there (kind of like my show). :)
Wonderful content- thank you for sharing this information- there's nothing more powerful than personal stories - 📿
