Relatable!! Would recommend going to Timberline knolls in Illinois, it’s a residential I went to and it’s really good! The people there are super kind and will greet you as soon as you walk through the doors! Everyone’s really excited to meet new people and get to know them! It’s for ages 12-17 for the adolescents, and for adults it’s 18+ they everything you can think of! Including sh and Ed. Best part is your insurance will pay for it if it’s your first time at residential! The program is minimum 30 days (a month) but I was there for 2 months. You have your own room with roommates and it’s tons of fun! You get to go outside and you’re not locked inside like you are at inpatients, and there are tons of groups! My favorites were rec therapy, art therapy, and music! Rec is basically free time and you get to play Nintendo or games, art you can do so many art things like paint, draw, or make things out of clay! That was always my favorite. Then music is fun, you can play guitar and stuff. And you also don’t have to go to groups! Everything is your choice. And although programming is mandatory in order to discharge, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. I really liked Tk because everything is at your own pace!
