I live on dartmoor love climbing abseiling getting lost on moors enjoying the story and wildness of the ancient moors plus Wild Camping Survival Tips Hacks and Tracking in this special place called dartmoor and Gear Reviews i’m still learning trying to make videos better : Thanks for watching STAY ELUSIVE
Gorilla tape and - to waterproof both stitching and the perforations next to the stitching: wax!!!! Wax/ candle wax.
@@kaikito7662 thanks i didn’t know that much appreciated 👌👌
Re-proof it. Sweep away all traces of dirt; then re-proof it. I bought a Lichfield 4-5 season A-frame Force 10 tent in 1982. I do everything bar breast feed it. It's in mint condition. Forget age. A damn good tent is a damn good tent.
@@kaikito7662 to keep going shows how good it is 👌👌
Nice video Sir, Always best to try out different set ups. I almost never find the "perfect" location when it comes time to set up to camp or at least grab a coffee. Cheers/Atb, John from the Social.
@@Roller822 thank you for watching yeah looking for a nice spot is not always easy 👍👍
i only take my bivi bag and sleeping bag every time i go out
that is really good you must be a tough man but enjoying the outside 👌👌👌👌
@@ELUSIVEDARTMOOR no not tough It's just not to carry excess weight. I used to pop up the local hills for a night or two. I find even if you are not going local you can find something to make things a little more comfortable. Like I put pine branches down or find a natural shelter in rocks. It's only if I'm going out on my own
@@ELUSIVEDARTMOORwhat is bivi bag your using called ? Looks like a good one

Your a brave man, not even a sleeping matt. Kudos! I enjoyed the countryside. Being homeless is no fun, but now you are on the up. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed watching it.
@@TDCamper thank you much appreciated have you got a channel if so i’ll have a look
@@ELUSIVEDARTMOOR I did start one this year, but I have had the year of years. I went camping in may, and was very ill. Then I was away for a couple of months looking after a family member who was even more ill than I was haha. And then I planned a camp, eneded up on a hospital ward with a serious kidney infection, that messed with my heart beats. So the 2 videos I have up are more about mental health than actually camping. Not a good YT start. My next video will not be camping either, it's a skydive. You can't make this up. Im am just home recouperating. There will be camp videos as soon as I can do it!
@@TDCamper ok well life is tough sometimes just hope it works out for you asap 👍👍
Great set up, poncho and tarp all in one, multi purpose, love it👌👍👍
@@WildBorkysadventures thanks much appreciated 👌👌
Nice set up, I always use bungees as it saves having to keep adjusting the lines Get yourself a walking pole - as you say there are not many trees or sticks lying around - helps with the walking and always handy for the tarp 🙂
@@Lee_Proffit yeah good idea thanks for watching 👌👌
Great setup bro 👍
@@Yorkshireoutdoorsandsurvival thanks hopefully in a few days i’ll be camping under it 👌👌
I thouggt the start of your video had paused. But its just your intro. I like to sometimes figure it out , but this sounds like a one night survival... Minimalist night out
yeah your bang on just trying skills with less 👌👌
@@ELUSIVEDARTMOOR You went very minimal , bravo
I missed this yesterday.. was out. Watching with coffee
thanks for watching just hope i can get better if there is anything you want to see me do camping just say 😁👍👍
Good video , fair play that was hardcore with no mat , thanks for the shout out , keep it up 👍🏕
thanks ally means a lot coming from you hopefully out under tarp sometime 👍👍
Nice and chilly
@@lifesahobby no nice and warm i wasn’t cold 🤟🤟
Nice video, great weather for it!
@@DaveDoesHiking thanks dave yeah no rain and i had a special sleeping bag inside bivvy so was warm and dry great looking at the stars 👌👌
We have wild horses in cumberland, look darker and bigger tho atb jon 👍
You need a backpack for your key ring
@@bikeman9419 😂😂it fits ok (just)
70MPH winds, and the sides crumple. Over 80 MPH winds, and the hoop pole snaps. The fabric is not so ripstop when the winds howl.
Great woodland camp, some craking gear there👍
Hi. Saw you comment on another channel. So thought I would look you up. Hilleberg is great tent. Fix holes with tenacious tape inside and out. I use a fjallraven abisko very similar. Carinthia bags are superb. I’ve been in -4c in mine.
@@teddybeargrylls6663 thanks for watching yeah i’ll try that tape also i just had tent in garden and i re proofed the tent so hopefully that will help to 😁👍👍
Another great video, Get yourself a bit of tent repair tape & seal that seam & you've got a great, four season, waterproof tent👍
@@Mrsmith74 thank you for watching yeah tomorrow if dry i’m putting waterproof on it and buying some patches this week i didn’t think of seal so will do i’m off work this week so hopefully back out tomorrow so hopefully the stuff will dry but i may just put a camo light tarp over it in case it rains it’s such a nice tent with your suggestion and the waterproof it will hopefully make it be a good tent for winter thanks for watching again 😁👌👌
going to need a bigger keyring once you start bud 😂 good items there 👍
@@STEALTH_CAR_CAMPER 😂😂😂😂
It's not a glass cutter, the end you had towards the camera is used to shatter the glass (it does take quite a hefty blow to get the pin to contact the glass) and the other end with the half ball bearing is then used to hit out the broken glass. Those Beta light are really good, I had mine for years before it packed up - I looked to replace it but they were then well north of £100, god knows what they cost now 😞
@@Lee_Proffit hi thanks i watched a few you tube videos they all said to hit glass will the big bit not the ball that doesn’t show so not sure
@@Lee_Proffit have a look you use the black bit i showed at end and push that’s how you use it i just doubled check have a look yes your right it’s a glass breaker not a cutter
I didn't know the ball bit was to get rid of the rest of glass ❤
@@ELUSIVEDARTMOOR Saves your pinkies from the possibility of getting cut 🙂
@@Lee_Proffit yeah i should think before i speak i never have a script so need to get the facts right in my head so will try to in future 👌👌
@ power bank in wallet
That tent looks nice for ten years old but … I could never pay the price you didn’t say 😂😂 one spark one thorn and I’d cry .. I’m cheap😂😂 Good video sir a lovely spot 💪
@@Sticksoutdoors yeah the seller didn’t check or say so not sure if inside got wet due to that i’ll have to fix and reproof it and if still don’t work maybe use a light tarp to go over it cost £300
@@ELUSIVEDARTMOOR it is still a bargain..but when I’m paying that much for something it better last a life time 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the tarp over the top I’ve had to do a few times lol I had a 12 man tent that leaked 🤦♂️
@@Sticksoutdoors i think it could be between 10 and 20 years old i didn’t know till i brought it i may start to take a light weight tarp in winter to cover any of my tents just to protect it better and blend it in 👍👍
Holes are easily fixed with a bit of gaffa tape on either side of the hole. .
@@lifesahobby yeah great idea just got to wait for dry weather
Hi there great purchase, and when you seam seal it, I am sure it will be fine. Even that small hole throw a load of silicone seam sealer into it. You might be lucky and it might cover it. When dry put a little more around the hole, if needed. Also try to make sure the middle pole is dead vertical, and you will know you have the tent erect correctly. Liked and Subscribed
@@mrnobodieswildcampingadventure great ideas i’ll do that thanks for sub too 👌👌
The tent worked out well for a tiny bit of work . Hopefully that hole in the roof doesn't cause you grief. . Did you have a good time
@@lifesahobby thanks hope not i’ll be gutted
Beautiful, what a mix of colours 🌾🍄🌳🦉
@@carolinemitchell4871 always nice to see the different colours they have 👌👌
What a lovely thing to behold cheers for sharing 🌾🍄🌳🦉
Nice location, not the best camping spot. Where I live cows are on the field from dawn to dusk and just before it's gets too dark they release the guard/shepherd dogs to herd them back to the pens. A lot of these dogs nowadays are pretty aggressive, I had a lot more trouble with dogs then with wildlife. The next problem is flies, so many flies.
@@wagnerthomas6780 yeah i learnt the hard way i was hoping they wouldn’t come across next time i wont go near them thanks for watching i’m out again this week 🤞 i hope

Hey!! I have a piece of foil doubled over that I use under my stove to protect the grass, it works a treat. Might be worth getting a windshield to protect your stove and stop losing the heat so much. Have a great weekend! 🥰
