On 26 August 1966, PLAN did not have any of the PKM machine guns shown. The base was not anything that the Western world would call a base. Horrible atrocities and war crimes were committed by the apartheid forces, yet the judiciary under the SWAPO government was not allowed to initiate investigations and prosecutions against the perpetrators.
