Great video, I wanna quit my job and work on the tourist line 😂
This was an excellent video! Thanks!
Beautiful video. Where is this magical place????
THAT FOOTAGE AT 9:43! amazing!
My dad rode one of those for many years.
no offence but u actually made this unwatchable with the music. The original audio is far superior
Spectacular views!
Good to see 493 back running again. I think it was sitting on a siding in Silverton last time I was up there.
Awesome!!!
Couldn't enjoy this video because of the "music" it didn't add to the video instead it did just the opposite.
Great video. We did the train ride summer 2020, had a great time.
Looks like they inherited Skagways locomotives.
Those units were built in Montreal for use on the White Pass but never delivered. The US Gypsum Company bought 3 to use on their mine-to-mill railroad at Plaster City, CA and the D&SNG got the rest. They are 100 tons on 6 axles on 3-foot gauge.
Too bad you didn't include information on how someone could look up site's to purchase a speedster rail car, in the purpose of promoting the hobby of ownership of one of these great pieces of railroad history.
Well, you're commenting. Why don't YOU include some info, if it means that much to you, instead of only offering criticisms. Turd.
@@jrayproductions7790 Hey Dupa, I was not critical in my comment. I was just asking for additional information on where someone could find a unit to become involved in such a cool hobby. All that I was asking is, in your future videos, include additional information on how to obtain a rail unit, and give the names of club's that someone could join. Expanding the hobby, and people wanting to become involved in that hobby. Asswipe.
Just go online and type in RR speeders for sale.
You may., might be surprised by the outcome to. Let it get low some first before adding it in to the engine motor oil.
Try adding in some bars stop leak oil treatment into oil from STP.
SAE30 oil is mixed with gasoline for fuel as this engine is a 2-cycle. I think the mix is 1 cup of oil to 1 gallon of gas. The SAE30 is also used for lubricating the other points on the car. That car is the narrow-gage version of a M19. I have a standard-gauge B4 with the same engine.
That sounds like it needs piston rings replaced in the engine of that mini train workers husker vehicle to me guys for sure. I seen the man having to push it to get it to take off to. Its from low piston ring compression is the reason why to.
The engine on these cars can be started by the crank or pushing. They can be reversed by cutting out the ON switch and letting the engine coast till almost a stop and closing the switch at the correct time with the timing lever in the start position for the other direction and it will fire and run the other way. There is a belt drive from the engine pully to the pully on the wheel axle. The belt tension is the transmission.
SUPER VIDÉO !!!! SUPER BEAUTYFULL COUNTRY !!!!
Love the music as well as the video!
..S O S O FREAKING BEAUTIFUL 😯😄😃💪🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Why have music? 100% better with natural sound!
Making me homesick
Sign me up. Too bad my M19 is standard gauge.
Why do you have to play all that music instead of letting us hear the natural noise? Foolish.
I was on that trip on the rail when I a kid. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent video. Been on this train trip. Awesome.
Please ditch the music.
When you go there be sure to wear warm jacket. The town, Silverton, always either rain or cold.
Watch the movie "support your local sheriff". Starring James Garner. You will see more about the "Durango narrow gage railways".
I think some parts of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid were shot using the Durango train to. I think they even built a fake tunnel somewhere around the hi-line too for the train robbery scene.
Excellent. Very well done. A railroad with CLASS.
It would be much better without the music.
Really enjoird the ride !
should be made to do calisthenics and paperwork while on the job..... nobody else gets to have fun, either that or you'll have to quit that job so i can have it.
your shits overheating lol
No. They are designed to do that. The Water boils and the steam rises to the evaporator, cools and returns to the bottom of the water hopper. When they start going again, the air going through the evaporator cools better and the steam stops. also you do not put anti freeze in the water hopper. That raises the temp beyond 212F and over heats the engine and ruins the head gasket. I ran ROC Fairmonts with Narcoa for 13 years. I always carried 3 gallons of extra water + spare plugs. Also we use TC-3 Two Stroke oil instead of the 30 weight in the manual. I had 15,000 miles when I left the Hobby in 2002
All I saw was a rail line that should not be carrying paid passengers. Al Harper will end up killing you if something isn't done about the condition of this business. I have lived in Durango for 35 years, and even back in my early days, I wouldn't take this trip
It's safer than you imply.
I have riden it several times and was not worried at all!
In basic training in the Air Force Reserves, I was assigned to do some weed abatement at Lackland AFB. We rode a six man speeder to the work location on the base rr. No springs, about jared my teeth out.
Excellent behind the scenes view! Thank you. Has to be my most favorite railroad journey.
I used to work for the railroad, driving the 334 up to Silverton and back . Best job I ever had 🙂🙂🙂
Why did you quit?
@@Sweetw4ter Got in a horse wreck , broke my back and ribs , couldn't work on the section gang anymore . Did security for awhile. Just wasn't the same as driving the pop car .
@@joebeal4212 Damn im sorry to hear that. Hope you do better now :)
Tell me how I literally rode this train yesterday and didn't take my phone and today it's somehow on my fyp
GORGEOUS scenery awesome video
saves the view of the river of lost souls for last, what the hey ?
De pelos el viaje me sentí como el octavo pasajero.
👍👍👍🚂🛤️
Nice video, beautiful scenery. What goggles and ear protection did you get for your dog? Figuring I'll need to get some for my dog, just waiting on 'missing components' to pick up my new XRS
I "Thought" Only STEAM locomotives NEED water to Operate !! Lol
The water probably isn't to power it. They spray water on the tracks in front of the wheels to dampen sparks. Prevents wildfires
@@careless3241 STEAM locomotives Need water to make STEAM ! And they use SAND on the rails to increase traction ! Inspection cars like THIS ONE have Gasoline Engines for Power ! And need GASOLINE to power them NOT WATER , unless your RADIATOR leaks as this one seems to !! 😁
They Don't Spray WATER on the Rails either They are there to watch for fires caused by sparks ,yes AFTER the train leaves Hence they FOLLOW the train from a distance
@@Wilett614 The radiator is just a water jacket around the cylinder. The high altitude and grade are the reasons for the higher temperature of the engine. The timing could be off slightly increasing the temperature. The timing is by a cam on the crankshaft closing a switch to create the spark from a coil box. This is a very simple system, very similar to an old Model T.
Get rid of the square headlights
Fantastic video
Look like there trying to pour water in with the cap still on the condenser
Pouring on the radiator to cool it down.
