You did a good job introducing the books. Sometimes reading a short, but meaningful selection from each of the books might also spark an interest in those books. If you don't have the book to show, could you show a "copy" of the cover with title and author. Also a map in this case would help to emphasise the tiny but important area of the world you are discussing. Robbie
