I think the notation gets reversed midway. In the second half of the talk wij denotes connections from unit j to unit i. This is not the case in the initial set up.

Why would physical address change in each hop??
Physical addresses will not change.
Sir as u said w is the number of positive weights and P is the number of negative weights but I doubt if that is value of positive weight and value of negative weight( magnitude only). Please clarify.
