I forgot to include the vent kill, but you need to be at good elevation and even then it can either one shot the tank or you waste entire ammo fruitlessly.

Many of these voices (for instance those in the pain sections) are missing from the base game. If they reside somewhere in the game files, is there a way to integrate _all_ of them into the game?
I've never found them particularly pretty, but it's cool that some mods use these assets. btw. I don't want to be a smartass, but the plural of "staff" is "staves".

@@garok2412 the moment when you stole things from the barracks...you reloaded the game, i think it was in part 5.
That's a combo of subtractive armor system, non-scaling damage and chapter-locked progression in action for you. Those theoretically cheap 1st Circle damage spells have their damage balanced so badly that you might as well keep using the heavy branch. On the other hand, Summon goblin skeleton is extremely mana-efficient as he will clear whole pack of wolves on his own and then keep following you mostly unscathed. Things get ridiculous once Seekers start appearing. With their 400 HP and 65 magic res they'll take 12 Ice lances (240 mana) to the face! Luckily their knock-away resistance is 0 so they're extremely susceptible to the Wind fist but you then risk them dying to fall damage, denying you XP for them. Alternatively, freeze them with Ice block, summon a skeleton and whack away at the guy alongside your bonebro (100 mana in total). Dragons are even worse but they are few enough that you can just use high-Circle scrolls (which creates another issue since a Dragon hunters and Paladins can do it just as well due to how mana-cheap scrolls are so you no longer feel like a proper mage). Elex 1 turns the problem up to eleven with how all enemies have relatively high defence but your none of your damage sources scale with your stats. The game practically demands you to find a weapon with decent damage values before you do ANY fighting. (komentarz napisany po angielsku żeby łatwiej wchodzić w interakcję z innymi komentującymi)
Circle 1 spells are actually pretty good for what you are up against. You can kill most animals and even skeletons easily as long as you got the mana, since they don't have mana resistance. But yes, Seekers are a major problem, in classic they had like 15 Magic Resistance and only shot fire arrows, and in NotR you are barely given means to kill them efficiently. I will not even mention Orc Elites, which there are plenty in Chapter 4 and each one of them is a boss fight. Demons are invincible to magic too. I was watching 2 people do first time Gothic 2 as a mage and was taking notes, because we're making a mod that makes magic straight up easier, not even balanced, just easier, and tweaking damage resistances is the first thing I looked at. @@garok2412 Circle 1 spell are probably enough to reach Hagen but that's not how I (and I believe most people) like to play. Instead of rushing the main plot I like to clear everything the given chapter has in store. And that silly Firebolt just does not cut it. I really like the idea of each Seeker dropping a mana potion. I just hope it will not end up like in Risen 1 where every lizardman gives a small health potion, completely trivializing any healing needs. If you mind, could you tell me what use King's Sorrels are going to have once replaced with Meadow Knotweed? Here, if you're interested, grab these completely unasked for ideas: - drop the cost of runemaking even further but make tree-like requirements for them (e.g. to learn Firestorm you require Fireball, to learn Icelance you require Icebolt and so on) - allow for each X chapter to learn X+1'th Circle, for example 4th Circle at 3th chapter - change the mana cost of scrolls from static 5 to either 5*Circle or runeCost/5 - change the dynamic of direct damage spells - with higher Circles damage raises sharply but damage-to-mana ratio decreases steadily
@@czapla1024 As a purist I want to avoid heavy changes like altering damage calculations, scaling or making spell trees, I've got these suggestions already, maybe as a separate project one day. I'm still wondering if the regen staff is an overkill. King's Sorrel is not replaced by Meadow Knotweed, just another ingredient you need. Meadow Knotweeds are not that rare yet not common enough to brew yourself a healthy amount, and the ingredient cost for making a small potion far exceeds the value of the potion, it's nonsense.
@@garok2412 It may be just me but for me value tweaking will almost always be less radical than adding new items or writing custom functions. Regarding alchemy - how about, instead of changing recipes (don't forget that you would also need contents of bookstands), you just make them yield more products? (e.g. 1x Meadow Knotweed + 2x Healing plant = 6x Essence of Healing)
@@czapla1024 That's the point, it's not a radical mod. Bookstands will have to be changed either way. As for your suggestion, maybe I'll think about it, but that will require more bottles.

Russian high morale sound is so beautiful. First part has such calm melody, as calm as the slow flow of the mother-volga, symbolizing Russians love for their motherland, for their people. Then it gets more and more intense,showing the determination of red army soldiers to defend their land, and then an up-lifting bugle is calling for red army soldiers, the sons of Russia, to drive the germans back from their beloved motherland. The others are good too, but this one just hits me in the feels.

There is a tutorial on Steam that shows the back of the turret as being a vulnerable spot. Is this right?
I tried that spot with with carious angles and different elevation and distance. Zero damage. No idea where the guy behind the guide got that from.

@@MrX-zj1sv так, вийшло. Мод є у воркшопі, тому встановити його це не проблема. Після цього я закинув файли в папку Архолоса, так що мод тепер працює і там. Власне заради Архолоса це і затівалось.

it is very possible to do this, just take all the original voices of Gothic 1 and 2 , add them to an AI voice generator and add all the dialogue text lines from Archolos, then you get almost perfect original english voice from gothic into Archolos. But who knows how to do that ?
Only if they got the consent from the actors to do so. If some actors passed away, they should ask for consent from the rights holder. Because if they don’t do so, that’s stealing, not to mention the lack of compassion and respect for their work. Regardless of your reasons, you need an approval. Some guy did what you just said for new balance. As I’m part of the acting industry, I couldn’t leave things like this, where everyone does what they want. I managed to get in contact with 4 of the actors that acted for Gothic: John Sharian, Glenn Wrage, Dan Russell and Ray Shell (the last one was straight to the point - “they either pay me or I’m gonna sue them”). None of these people were notified, they had no clue whatsoever. What’s gonna happen next, time will tell. I understand that hiring people to do it, it isn’t easy nor cheap, but stealing people’s intellectual property just because the technology lets you do it… it isn’t right. People need to start caring about the others as well, and be united, show some support, be compassionate about the effort the others put into their craft/work. And it’s not just acting, it’s music, painting, and all the other forms of artistry. Those that are at the top, are looking to reduce the production costs to 0, that’s why they wanna use AI on anything out there. But where do you think the money will go, if not in the production, I tell you, in their pockets, extra holidays, higher bonuses, while artists(and not just them, all the workforce)are left to starve. These companies, they don’t have ethics, they work for revenue. And whatever job you’re doing now, they will try to replace you, because they don’t care about you, they’re greedy. All the best🙏
