As a depressed man who has had suicidal thoughts, this song makes me cry. It takes no balls to kill yourself, but all the balls to live life with the pain inside. Also, this is a great album. City of Evil was a killer guitar album. They have since lost my attention with their boring, self parodying shit.

The longest song I've ever heard

I really love how it fades from the sadness of the depressed person offing themselves to their closest family members/friends' sheer anger and rage. It has such a beautiful effect I can never fully describe.

Yeah, this song was dedicated to Avenged's first bassist, who tried to kill himself by OD'ing on some type of medicine. That's why Matt sings "as bottles call my name, I wont see you tonight".

actually, the first part is about someone, who tells his friend that he will commit suicide. the second part is about the pain of his friend, who lost him.
