The problem is once a battery gets this bad its on life support. You HAVE to open them up and measure the cell voltages. Constistently low but above 2V still is recoverable, one bad cell and you can throw the battery out. One reason why all my tools are 18V Makita is that they use a fairly simple BMS in the batteries and their batterys are comparatively cheap here a 4Ah pack is like 55€ while Bosch is almost 100€. Also from what I know Makita does not use cells with internal protection but im not sure. The higher voltage batteries like 40V 50V 60V are unrecoverable because they have a sophisticated BMS with memory in it because those batteries are more dangerous since more cells more voltage etc much more potential for a battery fire. So they will essentially disable and lock out the battery when anything is out of the ordinary.

Where do you get the tool you used to help your battery fart.

When I put my battery on charger it will start flashing, but after a minute it stops flashing , and just stay on with light on but my battery still only shows 1 bar when i hit the battery test indicator why won't my dewalt battery keep charging.

The button top is some kind of protection for applications where there is no BMS but I guess it's harmless to use it with one.

I buy 100s of cells thatand I can assure not all cells are protected cells

Ever wondered why it got so hot it opened the safety breaker ?

Id be curious to see what a voltage meter on that was. Ive gotten the charger to accept the battery and charge it to what the charger indicates as a full charge and the pack still only has 10.25 volts. I'll have to give this a shot though. Thanks for sharing

Thanks dude! Worked perfectly! Tried the jumper trick with no success then came across your video and released the gasses out of a couple of the batteries and charged it, and it worked! amazing never heard of this trick before and not sure how it works but it did!

Why is there no circuit board. Do I need one of I replace with newer cells
