Can you explain the part of keeping polywrath at low hp (I get it, saves time with cry), but getting really lucky that enemies miss you even though they outspeed you. If they actually landed a hit they would have killed you, but instead they always miss and you can get away with keeping him low hp?

This is sick. Would metronome clefable work better? Or would the text for metronome take too long, golduck could be considered due to having psychic and waterfall. Also would catching the 1% primeape in rock tunnel be worth it? You avoid rare candying dodrio and you have hjk, stoss, rock slide, and dedge from celadon tm to maintain red bar. Although that would cost time to try and find a good one but I think that could be considered. You should also submit this to tasvideos, would love to see it there. Its 2 frames faster to talk to the ss anne rival on the left, also no god cans manip?

You don't need to kill someone to get their gun. Simply by pickpocketing the ammo for said gun you want, zone in/out, save and reload the save, then go back to them and they'll have it in their inventory rather than holster. Might take a few tries to successfully obtain the weapon and the NPC won't have to die

Favorite beginning gun combo is Ratslayer and That Gun. Both use the same common ammo, which makes it easy to sell off everything else on Hardcore Mode with limited inventory space.

for shotgun builds, there’s a hunting shotgun in the truck bed of the farm where those jackals spawn along the road that leads up the mountain pass towards Jacob’s town. Also around that area is a hunting rifle outside of of those boarded up houses close by a viper (or jackal) camp. Also in poor condition

You mentioned quite a couple favorites of mine, but here's a few other interesting ones worth noting: - Multiplas Rifle in the sewers (enter at the sewer entrance near McCarran and when you reach the large hallway, turn right and you'll find a room that has a few feral ghouls, take care of those and go to the rear of the room with the terminal, it's laying on the floor there). - Fire Axe in the tribal village near Chance's Knife, in fact I usually skip Chance's Knife in favor of this (two of them spawn on dead fiends, I use the grenade rifle that you get at the beginning of the game to dispatch the cazadores) - 10mm SMG in the same tribal village as the Fire Axe (spawns on one of the dead Khans) - Love and Hate (Bonnie Springs + Combat Armor from the same Jackal that drops this) - Trail Carbine (also Bonnie Springs + Reinforced Metal Armor from the same Jackal that drops this) - Plasma Rifles (not as impressive as Q35 but whatever) at Durable Dunn's Sacked Caravan (+ black combat armor from the dead Van Graff thugs) - Hunting Rifle in REPCONN HQ (sometimes spawns on dead fiends, alternatively has spawned as lever action shotguns for me). - Since you mentioned the general area of HELIOS One/Novac/etc, there's the "Black Rock Cave" with Nightkin and you can get the Paladin Toaster (special zap glove) there. - If you go to Nellis and get the "Ant Misbehaving" quest, you can get some decent weapons in the generator building. Marksman Carbine, Assault Carbine, Grenade Launcher (these weapons are on/beneath the dead boomers upstairs), and a decent amount of ammo (in the bottom floor). There's also the unique grenade rifle Thump Thump on the bottom level near the anthill. - Speaking of the Boomers, if you go to Vault 34 and can handle all the ghouls and radiation (godspeed to you), you can get into the armory and get some great weaponry that way. Sniper rifles, riot shotguns, C4 explosive, and the crown jewel All-American. If you were at Nellis already you can get the Pulse Gun with the key you can steal from Pearl's barracks. - YCS/187 gauss rifle (or Alien Blaster and tri-beam laser rifles if you took Wild Wasteland), although the mercs/aliens are likely a force to be reckoned with at Level 1 (never tried it personally). - Also obviously if you can do so, you can go to the Silver Rush and pull the old "drag an item to the bathroom and take it" trick on the weapons in there, which include a Plasma Caster and a Flamer. - If you don't care about being vilified by the Khans early on, you can snag some decently high grade weapons from the hunting patrol just outside of Red Rock Canyon/the Khan armory as well. I've gotten, variably, hunting shotguns, hunting revolvers, 12.7 pistols, and trail carbines at level 1 this way. Alternatively, if you're up to the challenge and want to start DLC at level 1 (it's possible and I've done it, even if it's a pain to reach the locations you need to go before you level up for the first time), you can get the Survivalist's Rifle in Honest Hearts if you can remember where it's located. Very powerful but ammo is scarce (I've seen it range from 60 to 150) and the wildlife in HH isn't exactly friendly to a low level player. There's also the holorifle in Dead Money (as well as the various weapons you can pick up otherwise, the cosmic knife, the knife spear, and the police pistol immediately come to mind), the various weapons in Lonesome Road (Arc Welder is the one you can get immediately), and if you have 50 in guns (not likely at level 1, perhaps even with the extra points from the skilled glitch + a skill magazine... would have to do some calculations to figure this one out) you can get the K9000 Cyberdog gun in Old World Blues. EDIT: According to my calculations, for the Cyberdog gun it's possible if you max luck and agility, tag guns, and do the skilled glitch. Considering that guns is calculated pre-tagging by a formula of 2 + (2 x Agility) + (Luck / 2) (which is effectively 2 + 20 + 5 with maxed agility and luck, aka 27), then the extra 15 points for tagging it (42 points), skilled twice (10 extra points, meaning 52), you 100% can get the Cyberdog gun at level 1 if you go into OWB this way. Even if you don't do the skilled glitch, just find a milsurp review (or get the sheriff's duster in the Primm sheriff office) before entering OWB and use it before encountering the think tank.

Love amd hate is a bit north from chance's knife and is pretty op in unarmed builds

Microfusion cells are fairly hard to get at very low levels and they weigh a ton

Love and Hate. Spiked knuckles special. Kill Joe Cobb. Take his stealth boy and sneak past the cazadors on the right side of the map, walking over the mountain edge so they can't reach you. Walk to the small abandoned town ahead. Kill the guy with the grenade launcher. Take his launcher and blow the woman in combat armor up, then the guy in metal armor with the trail carbine, and use a normal gun to kill everyone else. You now have the best spiked knuckles in the game, combat armor worth 2000 caps, metal armor, a grenade rifle, and plasma grenades. Took less than 20 minutes
