Can you put the jump pack on the battery in a boot and use jump leads on the engine ports?

This is a great video, but can anyone please explain to me (absolute beginner) what you then do once you've started the car? I know you will then have to drive it around for ~30mins, but surely you disconnect the jump-starter first, right? & to do that, the car would need to be off?
Once you start the car switch off the jump starter if your car shuts down you have a alternator problem and you will need a mechanic if the car stays running drive around for a bit then if doesn't start again your battery is probably bad so you will need a new one

I've removed the pipes and air filter and taken out the 2 bolts on the alternator but it is still locked solid in place! Am I missing something or is there a specific way to get it to move, I was told that there is only 2x 13mm bolts holding it in place but it is absolutely rock solid still Thanks Edit - I have also removed the serpentine belt
You might need to you a bar to push it I used it many times on alternators the "nuts" can't go back so even though the bolts are not there it's still tied

I was trying to help a young guy one night. His battery was dead. Had I’ve know this I think it would’ve helped. God I hope he got help. I had to leave him. I will stick a label on my unit to remind me of that feature.

Sorry guys! I forgot my update . My Astro 2004 was totally dead…. My recommendation is …. FOLLOW the instructions from this video , and I also recommend to leave it for 5-10 min and it will work like magic. I followed instructions and didn’t work so I thought it was just the product or I was doing it wrong but like I said my battery was dead as hell lol 😂 so I tried one more time and leave it for 5-10min and started the vehicle…. It worked like a champ.
@@Spaniard_Amarok: The NOCO did not work because it recognized the battery to be completely dead. What likely happened was that pressing and holding the ! button, and then leaving it hooked up, allowed energy to flow from the NOCO to the dead battery. When the dead battery got enough charge in it the NOCO no longer recognized it as a completely dead battery and it then worked to jump start the vehicle.

No not necessarily
@@Thrax86 I have the gb40 plus, very similar to yours. The difference is that in order to "shoot" at 1000Amps not 2000 like yours it needs to be pressed when not connected to the battery. I hope i don't need it as 1000Amps is a lot of power and dangerous too, let alone 2000.

After you successfully, start your car how long do you have to drive it or leave it on to charge the battery so that when You turn off your car you can turn it back on normally shortly afterwards??
Well that depends on how long it has been sitting without running the engine also the size of the battery is it a petrol or diesel the alternator as well is it good but at least 30 minutes so you have a better chance to start next time
It would be important to know why the battery was dead. If it has a bad cell or maybe the alternator has a bad diode or any one of multiply other reasons, running the car will not charge the battery for the next start attempt. However, if you simply left your lights on you know why the battery went dead and driving the car will charge the battery. How long? Do not know but I would go at least a half hour around 40-45 mph nonstop. If auto parts stores or places like Interstate battery is open it would be best to drive there and get a free battery test. If you need a battery they will of course sell and install one. A car dealership will even clean up your terminals and reset your battery monitoring system. Dealerships cost the most but service the most.
