Perhaps this is the start for him but eventually I’ll have to realize that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and there is a God it’s silly not to think there is a God but to each their own we all are on a different path. And perhaps him coming to this earth going through this process is his path

Fantastic interview!
Excellent
Absolutely loved this book and this podcast! Tom's story is so cool and inspiring. Really enjoy the travel/adventure content!
Very nice

awesome interview
Great podcast. So easy to listen to. Would love to hear you both talk further. Love hearing about meditation and very inspiring and helpful to hear others experience in relationships. Thanks so much for this conversation. 👍
What a cutie 😊
Conciousness is always at the will of an omnipotent creator. Christ consciousness is the only way to understand our existence. We project existence at the will of "God"
Why are you gay?
I really appreciate Shaman Durek He is an gift to this planet, I know him personally and he is the real deal. What a great Man of God.
As of the question at 1:26:19 “three traits…what are you attracted to” I divine evasiveness. Pity: a straightforward answer would have been interesting.
Not liking the hat thing... Bit odd. Still good to listen to though
Fascinating
I’ve been binge watching Peter for the last couple of weeks and loving his work. This interview was so refreshing! Lots of original questions giving rise to a deeper understanding of Peter and his work. Thank you 🙏
Excellent
why are you using an AI filter?
Not really, you can just step out, Darkness. Peace.
I wish I learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix- - Go to school, get a job, and then slave your whole life. Many miss out on life changing information that could have great effect on their finances.
Nobody knows anything, you need to create your own process, manage risk and stick to the plan, through thick or thin while also learning and improving.
This is true. For instance, many overlook that banks are return-driven businesses. I don’t trust keeping a large sum in the bank. Instead, I invest with professional guidance, enjoy the benefits and actively save up for retirement.

After the ‘08 crisis, I’ve learned not to trust corporations. Since 2022, I’ve been investing with a finance advisor and have had no major losses. I’m barely 25% short of my $2M goal after subsequent investments to date.
I understand that market behavior can be complex and unpredictable. Mind if I ask you to recommend this particular advisor whom have used his/her services?
Great conversation! Hungers' effect on criminal sentencing is wild, especially as the perception of the hunger changes the result! Turtles all the way down! Beautiful ✨️ 😂

Thanks for that. I have always tried to accept my other half and don’t feel I have ever tried to change him. But can’t say the same about myself. Somehow I always seem to do the wrong things. Thanks for the excellent video!!!! 🙏
I felt like I got to know this man in this interview. This was beautiful. Thank you

Okay so I wanted to ask you about the fact that this woman clearly said that she believed in free will, while you already had "Neuroscientist: How To Escape The Rat Race | Robert Sapolsky" video claiming the exact opposite. Then I realized that this video is 2 years old and predates the relevation that the free will doesn't exist. But I'm curious to know if you believe or don't believe in free will after meeting people who claim one way or the other.
I can’t believe she admitted she was disgusted by children with handicaps. She said it without shame, and without sounding like her beliefs had changed.
Well she said it the same reason why everybody says ignorant things. It's because she never met someone with that condition. It's actually important that she did say that because once she realized how wrong she was, that's how she changed her entire life to help and love the very same people she despised. Also keep in mind that she was also probably in high school at the time so it's not like her critical thinking skills were fully developed either.
A-men to all this
I respect Robert Sapolsky a lot and agree with many of the ideas he has about determinism, however I believe that ultimately it's a harmful belief to think that one has no agency, no free will. Even though all the evidence in a scientific conceptual context points to determinism or interdependence, one must still live as if agency and free will are real. Ultimately it's a paradox. If you deny the validity of your own experience of free will, then you might as well deny the validity of your scientific reasoning, perception of the world and all concepts.
🙏🪽❤🙏 You are Amazing, Thank you for sharing 💕🙏🙏
Thank you for another great interview. I'll be honest...I don't care about the backdrop, one way or another. I have enjoyed your podcast from the very beginning. It never bothered me that you and the guest were not in the same place, or that there wasn't an "aesthetically pleasing" background. The stories are why I'm here. I love peoples' stories!
💯💯💯
"Baboons are these hysterical, back-stabbing, sons-of-bitches." Kinda a little like, oh, I dunno, hoomenz?
I have been an admirer for years - even going so far as to watch Dr. Sapolsky’s recorded lectures years and years ago to Stanford undergrads as well as general audiences about depression. Although his books are essentially a repeat of one (like Dawkins) I still buy and read them. But I’m having a bit of a crisis of faith. First and foremost, religion is a manmade myth, I get it. But as a biologist and “half-assed” neuroscientist, Dr. Sapolsky should appreciate the fact that- as Harari points out - myths and fictions are essential to humans and their evolution. Like Dawkins, Krauss and Harris he is picking and choosing which myths to disparage. He used Exodus as a reason, etc. But the fact is, money/currency is no less a myth and a human fiction than religion. If Jeff Bezos pulled out his wallet and offered ten billion dollars to an alien space traveler to take him to the leader, the currency would mean nothing to the alien. It is a function of human narrative and societal context, invented for expediency, just as Constantine invoked Christianity to unite his then fractious empire. I don’t see Dr. Sapolsky having too much of a problem w the fiction of money - nor Dawkins etc.. just what doesn’t work for them. As far as total lack of free will. Fine. It’s a vast extrapolation of very limited data but ok. But Dr. Sapolsky’s actions don’t back up his words. He discusses a troop of baboons, stating that he was mistaken for 20 years. In order to decrease stress the baboon should “choose” sociability within the troop’s hierarchy, not dominance. Then he claims to be a “mechanistic biologist.” Firstly, how does someone/thing whose every action is “determined” CHOOSE anything? How does the baboon choose not to get upset that a dominant male is napping 50 feet from him? He is a predetermined interplay of genetics, environment and experience. There is no choice according to determinism and Dr Sapolsky. Yet he continually refers to humans as anything but the “biological machines” that he says they are - even citing hungry judges as being less merciful in the punishment they CHOOSE to mete out. And that this is reversed for judges who are hungry during Ramadan. This is anything but machine-like. It is distinctly flawed and quite subjectively human. Then there is the whole thing w maternal stress and socioeconomic status as the mother’s hormones affect brain structure etc. This is wo question correct - and quite non machinelike. He also uses the example of a man or woman who sacrifices so much to become a CT surgeon and his fundamental dilemma is how do we get them to do this wo them thinking they’re superior to fellow humans as, in fact, they had nothing to do w their success in the endeavor. What does it matter if a “biological machine” feels superior? Just using the term “how do we get” implies agency over the result - that it’s not actually predetermined. Indeed, the implication is we can act/proceed in such a manner that we can accomplish the aforementioned. In a determined world, the heart surgeon is either arrogant or he isn’t. There is nothing we can do to “get” him to be more self-aware and humble etc. I could go on w the words and examples Dr. Sapolsky uses. But even in his own life, he writes book after book, even referring to his “goals” in doing so, aimed at providing information/wisdom to the reader. I have no problem w this except again, it implies agency and an understanding that one’s words and actions do alter things and can change minds/reality. He even goes on podcasts and promotes the book, an action that implies agency if there ever was an action to imply such. It implies agency directed at the selling of a book/idea w subsequent gathering of the human fiction of money. I don’t presume to challenge Dr. Sapolsky’s intellect, obviously. But there is a fundamental schism between his actions and word use and what he writes ab “hard” determinism. I certainly don’t mean any disrespect, but I strongly wish to examine the concept of humans as determined, biological machines, which is fundamentally (and totally) different from the given, self-evident observation that genetics, environment and short/long-term experiences shape our worldview and influence our decisions.
We all have free/will to choose how we feel. We can choose to feel happy and grateful despite any person, place or thing outside of us. If we don’t let people, places or things to dictate our free-will choice to be happy and grateful then we are talking into our free-will to feel completely fulfilled in life no matter what.
Amazing share. Right on ❤
It a sill dream to use it as a tool I might be ok at it a tool for silly toys 🧸
Fantastic, makes complete sense Sir X0
great questions! Store this interview - likely to be in demand!
I love this discussion. Anytime I can find a new perspective I know I’ve had a great day! Thanks
I really hate to do this, but I am sometimes confused when I actually consider what neuroscience research produces. It seems strange to me that 20 years of research concludes that socializing is good for you. I know that's an oversimplification. But if we simply followed what our own experience tells us (e.g, I feel better socializing) we would generally come to the same conclusions that decades of neuroscience have.
How do we break the reincarnation cycle? Why on Earth would you want to interview satan and his sidekick Okrah?
