Your upgrade list links to Mushin 3200 mhz RAM, while most other upgraders install Crucial 2666 mhz RAM on this model. Then on start up in your video it also shows the XPS did not recognize 64 GB RAM but only showed 16 GB again. Can you comment please?

Thanks for the very helpful look inside the 9510 but this video is a perfect example of how people unintentionally fry their laptops. You mentioned nothing about grounding yourself before opening your laptop.

so the laptop has 2 NVME ports? one used for the OS that came from DELL, and another for expansion?

I have the xps9520. Bought 2 16gb ram upgrades from dell. Ddr5 4800mhz fully compatible. After upgrade i got ram failure. Had to roll back to 2 8 gb sticks ddr 5 4800. Now i need to get my money back from dell for failed upgrade parts.

Does the ram install the same on the 9520? I have the 9520 with 16gb ram. But want 32gb. Same procedure? No bios changes?

I feel like the white would be too bright and distract from the screen. For me, the screen should always be the focal point. Not the keyboard. That screen is awesome.

I sort of came for the lid removing part, which you left out. I did manage to open it using flat head of a screwdriver as shims. The no NVME screw really pissed me off though.

Greetings. Could you check with the benchmark program what speed of reading and writing that generation 4 ssd gives you with that processor that is supposed to support generation 4 ssd, to confirm if they really double the speed. Thanks in advance.

I wish I could use that laptop

I Just recently got the XPS 9510 and when I went to add an SSD it too was missing the heatsink and screw. When I called Dell shows on their build log that it was missing. However, I tried upgrading from the factory 16GB of ram to Crucial Ballistix 32GB of ram and it wont recognize the memory. Also had a bunch of little plastic pieces in my laptop.

How much does it cost ?
