@@NolenGYT theres also a flawless diamond and other jewels in an abandoned boat in a stagnate section of river by karthspire i think its called, where you go to see alduin’s wall. You take the road south east from markarth to get there. I was gonna put it in a future video.

@@TheRealTrigger2007 theres actually one more dialogue skip i didnt know about when making this video. If you leave one of the two fighters alive that take off from the runway and save it for the very end you can actually cancel the dialogue that happens when you finish the airport section bringing the time saves from dialogue to around 35 seconds. I use that strat in my WR run of the level if you want to see it. The timing is tricky, you have to down that last fighter you left alive within like four seconds of IDing the last set of targets for it to work.

@@TheRealTrigger2007 i spent four entire days writing down the exact times dialogue played and the times i destroyed or ID’d targets and looked for patterns in a bunch of runs. Figured out which targets trigger which dialogue and figured out that the dialogue from the last target you kill or ID will override any other dialogue that would normally play from that target, so looked for the longest block of dialogue thats triggered by specific enemies and saved those enemies for last so their dialogue got canceled. Then the fighter dialogue skip i figured out by accident when i missed one of them and had to take it last but then got my best time yet. Anyways, it was kind of insanity but im glad the research produced results.

Ya, when I released this video I was still using an algorithm strategy of making videos shorter so people are more likely to click on them. I have a full game speedrun of ace combat 7 now that’s 4th place in the world if you really want to kill some time.

And ya, I even write off item duplication in my head as playing within the rules of the world because if I can transmute iron to gold what’s stopping me from learning magic to duplicate items. So justifying reaching through a door to get a lever is nothing compared to the mental gymnastics I use to justify other stuff lol

@@lianguber this clip is the one that convinced me to start speedrunning the game, it was back before I had the canyon memorized so was just reacting to each corner. I was so nervous doing this in a full game speedrun but the tunnel was worse.

@@TheRealTrigger2007 honestly, SOL Squad on Ace seems more Evasive that Hugin/Munin.

@@denim_ak hugin and munin is a downgrade lol. Hugin and Munin execute mihaly's patterns just slower. Like a lotttt slower

I’m just happy I didn’t crash in the canyon or tunnel. I played it safer both times but historically I crash a lot in both places

@@denim_ak bro 💀 ive some how never thought of trying out new things I just repeat. Well, guess its time to kinda tweak the way I speedrun. Also this actually can get you the world record you know that right?

@@TheRealTrigger2007 i havent tested it on ace, i imagine they they need more hits and are more evasive, so not sure how it would work in the IL runs, but my tunnel game is still pretty weak, so ive got to cross that bridge before i think about going for it. And ya, pick up whatever strats work and go for it. I prefer trying to make my own Strats cuz even if they dont end up working better than what already exists i usually understand the missions better from trying to break them. I made route improvements in like 5 or 6 missions now though

@@denim_ak nice progress, thanks for your efforts mate :) Also yeah my bad I just noticed its not Ace. I hate this mission lol Quick tip about the tunnel run: if you got the darkstar then try practicing with it going full throttle inside the tunnel. It helped me see everything in slow motion when going 3233kmh in that sweet f22 lol, also never roll just rely on your yaw and brakes.

@@TheRealTrigger2007 im actually developing a Strat where i switch to standard controls in the pause menu after the third drone so roll is out of the equation and the switch back to expert controls in the straight away at the end of the tunnel

Kyo’s channel got deleted sadly. All of his videos are sadly gone. As for the RNG, the movement i did in this run is a set up that seems to consistently get two missile hits on Munin. It involves switching targets at the last second and not pointing at Munin until close to the end, this seems to trigger a specific movement that with a setup you can exploit consistently. I made it up last night. Going to the space elevator seems to have a 50 percent chance to provoke a charge from one of them, if its Munin then you can finish him off quickly and then spam at Hugin and hope for the best. I hate mission 20 so im trying to find ways to make it consistent.

As for your discoveries, boy I feel kinda useless cuz ive been here for 4 years now 💀 I dont know if you watched the 2nd place holder's video. If you didnt then you probably want to check it out because it feels less complicated, if you do his method correctly then you can kill munin almost instantly at the beginning (you basically hit him with 2 qaams at the very beginning and then turn in a way that forces him to face you and you can land 2 normal missiles in his face killing him, he can turn in the opposite direction though, I dont know what can cause this) as for hugin, you just pray the missiles doesnt get magically intercepted by an invisible laser and he doesnt pull off some annoying moves. Yeah my explaination is bad, better watch the video if you didnt 😅

​​@@denim_ak the method is very similar to yours, it just doesnt depend much on hugin's pattern. I dont know im bad at understanding things not gonna lie

@@TheRealTrigger2007 I’ll check it out. I got tired of F22 in M20 cuz i find its maneuverability means i end up over steering in the tunnel, but im open to whatever works

@@denim_ak Yeah that used to happen to me a lot. Now my only issue there is over using the yaw at the last right turn so I crash ending the run lol. Also even in this mission the dialouge can screw you over. If you shoot down the last UAV during any dialouge the 2nd phase wont start until that dialouge finishes.

@@TheRealTrigger2007 i had been struggling with the mister X fight, I had 3 runs before this that were on pace to be a record but my mister X fights were always bad and killed the run. Part of the reason was i would go in with 10-15 LAAMs left and have to be selective about when i fired them or id run out before the fight was over. I was only trying to get bronze in this run and i was so far ahead that i decided to restart from the last checkpoint as soon as it hit so id replenish my LAAMs and be able to spam as many missiles and LAAMs as i needed to get a good fight and seems to have worked. Lot of luck too. Just locked on and spammed missiles like my life depended on it.

Thx. Another mission forced me to try and get better with the PLSL, and me and another runner are in a pissing contest about who can make the most progress in the A Bird Kill. So more trying to one up the other guy than trying to one up you lol. And this is harder than i expected tbh

@@denim_ak Yeah it took me like 3 days with a total of around 100 attempts to get it. The other categories for this run we grabage times so I had no probem getting them, honestly I dont count them as a badge or something but this specifc run was hard that I started sweating at the end lol. @@TheRealTrigger2007 i just tried copying your route this time instead of doing my own thing, and I wasn’t getting the hooks with the PLSL the way you did, is there a trick to it?

Thanks man. I’ve put more effort into researching this level than any other since the dialogue can really screw you over if you dont learn how to deal with it. Glad that research finally brought the time i wanted.

I think you said you needed to get a new console or something to start running again but would be awesome if you did, i looked up last night and somehow AC7 now has more active players than Goldeneye 007, its farr from being actually popular but the community is thriving at the moment, new records set almost every day.

@@denim_ak oh keeping up with my news huh. Well Im close to start speed running again, I fixed my console but lost my save file which means Im gonna need some time to unlock everything so I can speedrun again which is half way done. Also yeah I noticed that the numbers are decently high, glad to see my favourite game shining :)

@@denim_ak I got something I wanted to ask you for a while but I keep forgetting. Got any tips for Mission 20? Best I achieved was 3:12 (That run wasnt recorded tho, but trust me its legit and on Ace :] ) and I cant seem to reduce my time any further.

Technically its “ACE” and “DLC Craft”, but it might as well darkstar and no darkstar

You use high speed to book it between the clouds. Clouds block the radar and reset the countdown to mission failure each time you fly into one. You get three consecutive seconds in the radar before failure.

Ace difficulty although since there’s no targets in this category the gameplay is functionally identical. Me and another have been at war over this record lol. Lowered it five seconds since we started trading records

@@denim_ak I think the difficulty changes the time before detection, but I'm not really sure. If it does, that could affect the path taken somewhat

@@PhantomRaptor1 would be worth double checking. Have you considered speedrunning this game? We only have 4 active runners right now but the community is on the rise. Still room for improvement on most records but enough players that give a shit for it to be fun.
