In my humble opinion the magic of GNR when Steven Adler was dismissed and Izzy subsequently left the band .

Axl changed how he moved on stage completely in the 90's, gone was the snake dancing and putting his hands in the air and stamping his feet while walking, i always prefer it when singers use mike stands

Going on a stadium tour years after releasing a debut album and not even having the new albums released yet!! Really shows how hard AFD hit and choas and conterversy sells. Nearly every massive band have choas and contreversy The rolling stones 60's and 70's the original bad boys, Nirvana even, Oasis especially Europe,sex pistols. Obviously sone bands make it on music alone but there not interesting and never look cool and you wouldn't exactly want to read a book or watch a documentary on them Coldplay for example

that's not true at all that izzy wrote all the songs have people even looked at the songwriting credits , on both UYI he contributed to 11 songs, slash 9,duff 5, Axl 20 and the most on his own over 5 Izzy only 2! So don't know why people just make stuff up.It's a myth that he wrote all the songs or even all the best ones and only write 1/2 on his own. AFD all songs are down as written by all of them and UYI Axy wrote most. You only have listen to Izzy solo stuff that his songs are nothing without Axl vocals and lyrics, Slash lead work and Duffs bass and just wannabe Keith Richards

I was there. Skid Row opened and killed it. Many of the GNR songs were unknown to the audience so the vibe was weird. The sound wasn’t great.

Axl has/had a completely raw bass voice. Imagine if he had preserved / sung at bass levels, instead of pushing his voice to the maximum all his life. I don't know if we would have had GNR today, but Axl might have had his voice in order and certainly just as great a voice today

Axl voice is amazing here

I have been stating this as well for years. Bon wrote the LP and anyone with a brain can hear it in the lyrics. Anyone who doesn't get it knows nothing about music.
