Unfortunately, the facility seems to care more about profit over residents and staff.

My current facility has gone through 3 DONs in less than a year. It's so challenging to have reliable resources person.

Bilquis, I just want to thank you for your advice, please keep it coming! I was an RN in the field (Home Health) for 17 years and am now DON. I've entered my new position without any formal training and have been learning by experience. Your support is so valuable!

My biggest challenge is my Administrator. She has been hiding information. I’ve been in the position for 2 months. I’ve asked for the Casper report day one , she stated the facility was 4 star . After receiving the report , that she was forced by CEO to give me , it was a 2 star and now finding out the facility has to pay a monetary fine from the last survey . Should I be lacing up my Nikes and start looking for another job?
