The really stupid thing, that more than anything shows how out of touch amazon is with the warhammer 40k lore and the fandom, is that it already is diverse. The imperium is an authoritarian feudal theocracy where casual genocide is just seen as bookkeeping but it doesn't discriminate against race, gender or sexuality. There are strong powerful female characters in the lore, gay characters, characters of all colours and races. Yes, the Custodes is an all male organization (for lore reasons that has nothing to do with gender really) but standing right next to them doing almost the exact same job is the Sisters of Silence, an kick ass all female organization. So if Amazon would have wanted more female characters they could just have had one without any need for reinvesting the lore. Heck, one of the more popular and successful series of novels depicts just a custodes and a sister of silence running around saving the world as a dynamic duo.
