I actually got this out a lot sooner than I thought I would 👀 So there wasn’t a finals, and it was a one and done. We made state though!! After a two hour delay and performing in the rain 🫠 We had fun though, and we’re so excited we get another performance! @LillieWarren-

The name changed 🤨 Sorry about the railing in the way. The gym was weird, and we almost had to perform without props. Fortunately they fit down/up the ramps and (I believe) we were given more time for getting on and off the floor. We placed first 🥇 But we were also the only guard competing in our division. We took 6th in prelims and finals, but our score went up. We did so well for our first WGI this season 🤩

We placed fourth out of four guards, but the point difference was only 1.2 or something like that. A lot of us, if not all of us, feel that we had an amazing run. Congrats to our JV who placed first in their class, and congrats to all the other guards for their placings. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season will bring ✨💃

My band does something similar where we do a full run but it’s crazy instead of serious (and the band directors aren’t there so it’s even more fun 😏) 0:52 also who’s that trumpet player imitating the snare player lol 😂
@@izzy_da_crocs_pookie ours has to be serious or they take it away for the next group of seniors 😔 It’s all about respecting the time and effort we’ve put into being a part of the band which I agree with, but I also wish I got to do what my seniors have done the last three years and have fun mixing shows up into one goofy looking masterpiece :) And the trumpet is one of our drum majors 👀
@@keaverill106 well I take that back: it’s not technically crazy you still have to do everything correctly and right it just doesn’t have to be perfect- that’s my definition of crazy Also that’s a drum major?? Lol that looked like a trumpet in his hand 😭 then who’s that playing the clarinet during the oboe solo 😭 (I presume another drum major?)

The rain absolutely sucked for everyone across Texas this weekend (for 6A especially) but I feel so bad for y’all because from what I heard y’all got hit the worst… anyway y’all’s show slays every single time!!! ❤ Good luck at state and hope you make finals! 🫶🏻

I honestly wish I could’ve seen y’all’s finals run but we had to go get back into uniform tops for finals retreat 😭 Edit: also might I add that y’all’s guard ATEEEEEEEE (your entire show ate but ESPECIALLY THE GUARD 🤩)

Pride for my band aside, even when we did one of our good runs and thought we would easily get top 5, for some reason everybody knew, once we watched this show, that this was 1st place. Well deserved.
