God certainly knew the perfect step -father for His Son!!! Little is said about Joseph, but a simple overlooked, I feel, fact for 1 is that Joseph was obedient to God. He did not want to make a spectacle of Mary. He was going to send her away quietly. fact 2--Mary was not of the line of Judah, Joseph was!!! That in itself elevated his status for us who know the Bible!!! Upon the 2nd coming of Christ, He will come as the Lion of Judah!!! What is earthly is just that. What is Heavenly is everything!!!!! Oh, Joseph was just as wonderful as Mary---both obedient and loved God!!!1

Joseph was chosen as the mortal father of this wonderful Saviour of the world. His job as a father was to assist Mary as they parented. I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life and to have understanding via the Holy Ghost. ❤❤❤

I love the idea of this song, but it's too bad that it couldn't have been sung as a lullaby, instead of the singer competing against the pounding, thumping, overbearing piano accompaniment. Because of that, there was no smoothness, gentleness or serenity to the "lullaby."

The bible doesn't speak much about Joseph, but he was chosen to care for our Lord during his infancy and childhood. We have no knowledge of when he passed out of Jesus' life, but I do believe that he was exactly the earthly father that Jesus needed. This is a beautiful homage to him.

As a father myself, this song brings so much to the surface. My wife and I are both in our 70’s and our children are all about the age of Joseph here in this video. Yet that deep heartfelt love for one’s children never truly goes away. Joseph had a role, too, in the birth: desperately seeking a sheltered place for his wife to bear a child, get her as comfortable as possible, hold her, assist in the delivery, clean, wrap and hold the newborn baby. All with zero training. Then suddenly he disappears.

This is a great choice. A great song. To God be the glory. For now, and always!🙏🏽
