Good to see the bells, I learned of this church through my boss who attended a wedding here. She took a photo of the ringers.
Very nice bells.
Thank you very much!
@@st.petersbexhill8319 My old Head chef attended a wedding there and mentioned the bell ringers, she even took photos of the ringers and sent it to me. I am a ringer myself but I am not well enough to ring at the moment.
Beautiful hope to see more of this , thank you 😊
It was a lovely service and such a blessing to be there.
Thank you Ruthy, Glad to see you there.
It was a beautiful service. The choir, altos, tenors and basses were so well balanced. How I love to hear those bass notes and the clear, higher alto parts. The singing of the whole choir was super. I do so like the Causton Faux-Bourdon settings for the canticles…. Such lovely harmonies. Handl’s anthem ‘In nomine Jesu’ was very moving and ending the service with ‘Rock of Ages’ brought to a close an evensong which has most surely blessed us and set us up for the week ahead. Finally, a really nice touch by Keith Baldwin playing a portion of Handel’s ‘Music for the Royal Fireworks’ for which he deserved the enthusiastic and appreciative round of applause from the congregation. Thank you, everyone and may God bless you and keep you all. Amen. Xx
The internet failed. Please look at our main channel to find a new stream. We will upload a full video later
Very good Barbara
I wondered if you’d follow on from the story....but you didn’t
Thought this is so good.very salutary reminder, especially with what is happening in parts of the north
Thank you, Sue. for an exemplary and timely TFTD.
Bad bad People. Your son has lost the plot !
Thanks for your reading .
You are so welcome
I especially like this one Edna, very thoughtful and true words
This is a proven phsycology now - that if we set our sights too high then the inevitable outcome will make us feel a failiure but when we set ourselves acheivable goals like you said- that the outcome is alot better and smaller habits are the ones that stick. Great video edna , x
Just like to wish everyone at St peters a holy and blessed Easter 🐣 🙏
Thank you
just thank you Edna
Another excellent TFTD, I hope we can restart these initiatives
I rather think that image of the MU you suggested at the outset was dispelled years ago. The WI were also tarred with a similar brush. At one time, the only Anglican group that escaped such an unflattering image, was the 'Young Wives', which my late mother - vicar's wife and one time member of the Old Heathfield group - doggedly chaired into her late seventies until it was hinted that her age didn't exactly reflect the groups youthful ambitions!!
excellent points hear hear
Well read. Thank you for the story read from the point of view of the others in the family. The women etc
Nice to have the humour...” what’s so good about immersing in water” good point to bring on the non-believers....help them to think on ritual...
I have shared this with the younger members of my family. Thank you!
Like to say hello to everyone at st peters bexhill !
Amen. Good advice. Thank you
Thank you for this, this morning. I’m collecting and sharing content from all Bexhill’s churches on our Facebook group of the same name.
That was a fabulous performance - thank you Roger and Ruth
Composing the melody for this particular song gave VW some difficulty and I believe he actually spoke of it as that "damned lamb." Fortunately the end result as performed by Ruth and Roger suggests success and a pleasing setting. The words of another arrangement from this cycle, "I wandered thro' each charter'd street, Near where the charter'd Thames does flow......" might be more relevant during this period of Pestilence? Incidentally, I met Wilfred Brown in the early 1960s. He was an old boy of my school and was asked to sing as part of an early recording of BBCs' Songs of Praise to be broadcast from the school Chapel. A delightful man and, along with Frank Patterson, one of the truly great, English, lyric tenors.
Hello to everyone at St Peter’s. These days thoughts are lovely.
Pleased to see that someone else forgets his mouth is behind his/her visor!!
Good to see you again Cathy , you've been in our thoughts and prayers 🙏
Well sung and some good readings. Excellent organ and accompaniments.
Nice to see you Peter.
Gods plan gives us joy
Great news. God has a plan ! So we are not lost sheep. My poor father really was a cynic. Such a sad realisation. But i am not going to saddle mysrlf down with negativity. Oh no I am not. Just like the group the Monkeys, ( loved them when i was 11? I am a believer. liever
Thank you to everyone who does messages from St Peter’s church.
