This video is about flyfishing and spin fishing
Loving the videos. Hope you keep ‘em coming.
I just got a SUP and haven't fished off it yet but that is my main goal. I guess I am concerned about fighting a fish and being stable on the board. where do I put my paddle for fast access incase i am being dragged into something I don't want to be in not to mention fighting the fish while trying to paddle one handed sounds stressful. what if fish gets the line tangled in branches underwater. what if I get a big fish that is dragging me around everywhere and I can't land it just stuck for eternity being dragged out to the ocean unable to break my line off because i am going with the fish. if I anchor and still get dragged like you did imagine the anchor getting caught on something underwater and the board seizing up because the fish has wedged it hard in there. i am overthinking this I reckon.
😂😂 fish will most likely break you off. i only had a little 2.5 kayak anchor and didn’t let out enough line. just switch to a mushroom anchor that’s like 10lb and you won’t go anywhere
Most excellent video
I'm fly fishing for bass on the Tallapoosa River, even catching a few yellow perch and rock bass. FunWater Manta Ray 11'6"×32"×6"❤
Mad skill bro. Respect
sorry , just a silly question...why do you fish if it is not to eat?
for fun
@@3runjosh ok
I met you at the shop yesterday and just discovered your channel! Great content!
thank you! was nice meeting you!
Cool vid
Is that the XM size of the nautilus

@@pimpoftheflies5473 Hey Bud I'll be down Clearwater for the winner got a New Gheenoe if you want to link up and go fishing
Great video!
What brand of boat is that looks perfect
skimmer skiff
Pimp, please give a gear list including line, rod and reel! SWEET!
cortland liquid crystal 12wt, gloomis cross current pro 1 12wt, tibor signature 11-12s
@@pimpoftheflies5473 awesome setup! Thank you! I'm needing a larger set up. My heaviest is currently an 8wt NRX +.
@@lowcountrytobackcountryins3049 sweet! cast a couple different rods if you have a chance!
Nice video!! I'm planning my vacactions in January and the gulf coast is on the trip. That's some inspiration you provide!! One thing: whats that funny noise of on your reel?
thank you! that’s just the gears on the drag all of them do it to a certain extent
What’s your go to redfish fly
size 4 natural color crab fly
That EAT at 7:44 was pretty cool.
u take guests
Dude are you still alive and fishing?
yes i am! just been going through a few changes but i have a couple videos i need to edit and then i’ll start posting again!
Lmao they were playin’ with you man, they’re tricky. Still haven’t caught one myself. I’ve never seen that many hits in one day. I get 3-4 total if I’m lucky
What fly line did you go with for the 5wt pimp?
i use cortland tropical redfish
What 5wt fly line did you find for that setup
I use cortland redfish tropic plus on it. seems to cast pretty good with it
Great stuff, man! Just got a BOTE myself, your videos are getting me stoked to take it out!
What's up man! Met you yesterday at Reef and Reel! Let me know if you want to do some tarpon fishing this season!
Was nice meeting you! will do!
What wt rod do use for the backwater?
I usually have a 6wt and 8wt with me depending on what i’m targeting
Incoming or outgoing tide?
Hey buddy, an inexpensive pair of hemostats works wonders with deep hooked fish like that. Nice fly!
Where is this location?
Awesome video. Where was this at?
What weight line do you use to catch species such as trout and drum I’m getting into fly and want to try in saltwater
usually an 8wt for everything. but i play around with 6-8 depending on weather
Funny how the snook wasn't too concerned at first.
This guy is so fucking cute I cannot even stand it
been watching your videos for a while I really enjoy them if you do not mind me asking what five white Flyline are you using I also to have a five wt axiom 2. look like the Flyline your casting was pretty smooth I also realize a lot of it is in the casting which usually very well
hey! i’ve been using the cortland tropic redfish 6wt line. also cortland tropic compact 5/6 it’s a little heavy and makes it easy to load and make quick casts
You fish a lot of the same spots as I do. Surprised I've never seen you out there.
i haven’t been out there lately and usually fish weekdays and early before most people get there
I have a great question I noticed that your SUP is inflatable SUP. Have you had any issues with Oyster beds or something like that. While everyone is telling me inflatable SUP are bad in Saltwater I disagree with them your thoughts please. Or anyone else who has an opinion on my question please TIA .
i stay away from oyster beds. but i once layed a fish on the board and punctured it with its spine. i don’t take it out when it’s windy becomes more of a workout
@@pimpoftheflies5473 My exact thoughts I would never go and intentionally look for sharp stuff . Other folks were giving me a hard time about my inflatable kayak. So anyway I appreciate your input on my post . I'm 100% about getting me a inflatable Sup board and putting it to work with my Flyfishing and photography stuff. Thanks
@@pimpoftheflies5473 Other thing is I'm gonna make an area where I can lay fish on it like something like a cutting board platform area. Make it out of coreion what they use for kitchen cutting boards .
thats fire bro!
Which SUP are you using?
I’m using the inflatable Bote HD aero
New bote paddle board?
i’ve had it for a few months ! fun to fish off of. just not good in the wind.
Nice video. What fly line are you using? Seems to shoot pretty good
thanks! was using a rio bonfish quick shooter
Hey , more fly fishing videos great job,
That was awesome to watch! Subd and looking forward to more videos
Nice video. I have the exact same board. Maybe I'll try some fly fishing off of it myself
Watching the video cannot tell is it Hardboard or inflatable SUP? TIA
@@gorila1958 it's the Bote Aero inflatable. The visible difference is that the hardshell version has a lip/ridge between the brown non-slip pad (where you stand) and the forward graphics (where the crossed bunnies and paddle sheath are).
@@thejmac0686 Thanks I'm thinking about getting that exact model.
@@gorila1958 I love mine.
Just subscribe after watching thonny nice catch 💪
I couldn’t find your site , just watched you and thonny catching trout and snook , colab , but like you I’m a fly fishing addict, and love your tarpon vid, I’ve been trying to get the tall guy into fly fishing , maybe you guys need to get out on the boat and flog the water for some poon’s ! 👍🏼.
thanks! yeah.... i’m working on getting him into it also. we have been trying to plan a day but our schedules haven’t allowed us to do so yet.
@@pimpoftheflies5473 have you caught tarpon this year yet?
@@davescheer5038 off of my kayak juveniles. was only able to get out once off the beach on my kayak due to weather/work
Where is this (please)?
Hi. Are you doing any fly fishing guiding in the Tampa area?
hey! i’m working on doing it soon! i have a few friends that do.
Dude that looks awesome in that clear water! How are you liking the Bote SUP after a few months of ownership? Looking at the exact same model
i like it just wish i had a hard board because i put a puncture in it with a sheepshead
@@pimpoftheflies5473 oh that blows, didn’t think a fish would do that much damage haha
@@skyiswomb1 it comes with a patch kit
A very interest SUP configuration, love the paddle holder and the stand up support piece. May need to figure a quicker way to lock off your anchor line if you get any bigger fish. Thanks for the video.
awesome video! Are you using a head or chest mount for your GoPro?
thanks! was using a head mount
Solid redfish! Good to be back on the SUP! Let me know if you ever want to get out there, i fish/film on mine around tampa/st pete! Subbed for more!
Baby sized Tarpons are the challenge to keep on the hook and bring in here too. Hook sizes and Build of the Flies too! Good persistence !
