We are Adrian & Karen, based in the Midlands and have been caravanning around the UK for a number of years.
We like to get an idea of what a site is like before we visit and find it frustrating that a lot of websites use 'stock photos' of the surrounding area, when in reality, we would like to see photos of the actual site, pitches & facilities, so we thought we would attempt to create a video & photographic record of caravan sites that we visit. We stay on all kinds of sites - Club, CL's & privately owned.
We may throw in the odd video of places/attractions that we've visited.

Drive around Durham Grange Caravan Site. There is a lot of road noise from the A1(M) nearby. The dog walk on site is small but at the top of the entrance road there is a nice long walk which leads down to the river and on to Durham

Stover Country Park Caravan & Motorhome Club site

A short drive to and around Stover Club Site. There are NO toilets or showers here. It is next to a busy road but do not let that put you off unless you want complete peace and quiet. We were on pitch 34 (non awning) which is one of the closest to the road and it didn't bother us at all. The site is immaculately maintained and pitches are well spaced. There is a good, short dog walking area but...

I went there for many years with my hubby I'm to old now and my hubby has passed away 10 years ago great holidays to remember
Yet another CL Mini Club site why don't you just go PRIVATE and get off the CL register because you are NOT what CL's are all about Your cliental are plastic caravanners !
Got bored with this video music drives you nuts. Camp site is on the main road also has no direct access for the beach. It sounded ok but after this video no thanks. No nice walking as have to walk on a main road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this place. Going back next month.

Why do some people want to stay at such a regulated campsite? Speed limit signs, speed humps, one way systems, separate areas for tents, touring and seasonal? I go on holiday to get away from all those things that some want to impose on me. Camping to me is a grass field with water taps, chemical toilet disposal and toilets, nothing else.
Great review, how far to walk to beach from the site? to take the dogs for a walk.
Thanks Bob. There is no direct access to the beach from Trawsdir but their other site Caerddaniel Caravan Park is about 1/2 a mile walk down the road and you can get to it from there

It's lovely there Don. The quietest site we've ever been on I think. Loads of walking/cycling straight from site plus easy access to the coast. Karen x

@@frazzledstouringadventures3059 you think that's noisy you should try Harghill House!! A1 one side A66 right behind. We stayed there a few weeks ago then went to Old Hartley in Whitley Bay.

We store our van here, beautiful place. It will be even better once the grass around the new lake has grown up in spring '19
