Colten Bethel
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 24 ธ.ค. 2012
My Name is Colten Bethel, I started this channel riding bikes when I was 17. I originally wanted to blow up and become a famous TH-camr like Casey Neistat but I quickly realized you have to be dedicated to uploading videos on a regular basis. I am now 24 and enjoy filming and making videos of whatever hobby I am currently pursuing at that given moment. I make these videos so one day I can come back and remember the fun times I had with my friends and family!

Where is St. Clair?

Since some time has passed, can you update us on how the acrylic paint held up on the canvas?
@@Sam-o2q7b the canvas still looks as good as the day I painted it believe it or not. It’s soaked into the fabric way better than I was expecting.
@@ColtenBethel Thank you! I am debating on painting mine! This gives me hope!
The boat needs plate numbers?
@@luisemilvallejo9338 yeah if you wanted to be legal
So cool! Are there any videos anywhere of divers going beyond the popcorn room? I can't find any.
Love it! Approx. how much is this setup? If that’s okay to ask?
@@JosephSicilia great question! I bought the boat off Facebook marketplace for $900 and I bought the motor for $800 gas can and battery or another 150 I think
@@ColtenBethel that’s awesome thank you. I’m always curious of what’s an appropriate range to spend for a trustworthy setup like this. That’s a good ballpark to keep note of thank you!
You changed the a/c setup
@@82johnwblack yeah I think I talked about that in the video. Honestly I can’t remember I haven’t watched the video in a while. The old set up didn’t cool it very well.
I was trying to say that it didn’t look like you had it ducted to let the heat escape
How many miles out do you take these? Or how far out feels safe? About to buy one for here in texas
@@Chansgoing great question! The boat itself feels very safe. It would take a lot to pop all three chambers. I’ve been out about 10 miles before and felt completly fine. I would say my concern is more if it gets rough you get beat up pretty good coming back in.
@@ColtenBethel Thanks! Good to know
I have the 16 ft Saturn SD488 woth aluminum floor about hit 20/24 heat welded so my 15 hp doesn’t push it that fast I think a 25 hp outboard motor amd I fish the ocean to I took it put 2 time and posted on TH-cam how do you like the Saturns
Wonderful video did you treat the zippers with anything to keep them from sticking?
Do u need to register it
@@dragthis2006 yeah if you want to make it legal
What color did you use for the paint? Name of paint color?
@@angiemata3933 hey, this is actually an update video. Check out the original on my channel that has all that info!
Killer deal on the motor...
That is the life right there.
I know this is an old video but you guys did that!!!! Im super impressed and this gives me the courage to buy used instead of new and put some sweat equity & make it my own. Question for you and I know you finally put in a window AC but where did you guys run the hose out of with the Black & Decker? Breanna, you are the bomb girl!! I love the cute sink. Just the whole project looks beautiful!
Did you use the same paint for the canvas for the inside? I imagine you did just making sure…
Gahhh I’m so glad you did this video because it’s hard to find a lot out there about this. Thank you sooooo much
Did the painting of the canvas also waterproof it?
@@nicholeprice467 yeah I mean paint is pretty water resistant and I have never had any leaking with the canvas since we did this
@@ColtenBethel Thank you!!!
How is the outside paint holding up? I what to paint the outside of mine badly
@@arnaldorivera179 I think it’s getting close to 2 years since I painted it and the paint on the canvas and body has held up great! Much better than I thought it would. It didn’t hold up on the vinyl very well. The top of the slide out roofs are vinyl and that kind of peeled.
@@ColtenBethel nice, thanks for giving me some confidence 🤙🏽😎
awesome job thanks for sharing
Love it! Such a practical setup. No need to buy a truck or expensive boat to get out on the water. I think this would go perfect on top of my tesla lol
Look at OBS Ford truck in the background 😍
Nice pop updo, the baby stole the show. How cute.
You highstick. The main backbone can probably do 20 lb but not the tip
@@kongxiong6005 hey thank you for the info!
@@ColtenBethel no worries happens to the best of us
Did you just use one coat? Thanks
Have you looked at using paint made for painting vinyl furniture for the vinyl parts?
This looks so fun! Im definitely going there for my next scuba trip. But how deep is it?
@@Oxperty Do it you’ll have a good time! The deepest you can go is about 115
@@ColtenBethelGreat to know, thanks!
the new 2024 bris 14.5' is the best inflatable boat you can buy outside of stryker. aluminum transom and all. so which one did you say was the best again? i must have missed it
I'd be more scared of being in an inflatable boat in the ocean than firing up my drone over water. Yikes
I'm wondering how the paint on the canvas is holding up. I used that paint on a manufactured home I sold about 5 years ago. The paint still looks great even on the south face. Maybe a follow up video on the he wear.
Sweet bro
Thanks for the video
The rooftop transport (boat on car) is 100 percent gangster. Not in a good way.
Do you leave the AC hooked up and sticking out as you are pulling it on the road? ... and is it left there while the camper is being stored for the off season?
@@donnaengrem4681 good question! We do pull it out when towing and storing
This is not a review! You name 3 makers and then don't refer to two of them. Basically you camp out on a beach and say what friggin fun it all is. You could of had the similar off of a tinny or whatever WTF???>? I get sick of the "reviews" on YT that are well I hated it"r "well I enjoyed it" under the guise of "reviews" and "information".
@@JustMeBlindFreddy it feels like something else is wrong in your life and this review comment is just a way of getting to express yourself. You can talk to me if you want. I’m always here 🫶🏼
You moved to Milwaukee?
@@tomorrowstools2159 Hey Mike hope you’re doing well! Still live in St. Louis but love taking the boat to Lake Michigan!
Did you have to vent the AC unit?
Wow what a renovation! Me and my wife are looking into a small viking pop up and you guys gave us so many cool ideas! Best of luck and happy adventures!
Enjoyed the video...but get some life jackets!!
What colors did you use for the inside, outside and body?
Dont you need a UV protection layer?
I did not use one and the paint on the canvas is still in great condition.
Is it possible to film the UC-97 U-BOAT in lake Michigan...all I can find is some cheesy crappy photos of one of the most epic wrecks in the great lakes!
That is really interesting. I haven’t talked with very many people before that know about UC-97. From what I can read its location is not known publicly. Have you ever seen its location or depth before?
What did you do about the wires?
All the doors have quick disconnect plugs, so we just unplugged them
@@ColtenBethel shoot I may have to look more into mine, mine might be different cause it’s a 2010 though. Anyways I loved the video and your edited style, I’m surprised it didn’t get more views
Can you show us bimini glue on pads ? And also where does front hooks hook to from bimini? Did u had to glue new pads for front hooks? Also can you fold bimini backwards as you fish for example? And what mounts for rods does this boat has? I glue on scottys pads but they tend to be large, yours seem to be smaller, can you show us brand or a closer look of your glue on pads pls thanks
❤congrats 🎊

Nice job!!! Did you mix a little bit of water in the paint ?
Thank you! I did not mix water with the paint. I wouldn’t recommend that.
@@ColtenBethel perfect thank you for your answer!😁 i will start tomorrow!
@@ColtenBethel and do you think it will be good with the paint roller?
@@georgezogheib473 no problem at all! I think a brush is best because it actually pushes it into the canvas. It does take a little longe though.
@@ColtenBethel perfectt thank you😁 i did 1 place and it took alot of paint! Hehe tomorrow i will go buy more paint and continue💪🏼
