Question. I see that there is a top layer, fn layer, momentarily layer, and toggle layer on the software. Do you know if you can set a key, for example, Caps Lock key, and it will toggle that layer? Wondering because as a dev, I have a workflow setup in my VIA keyboard and with the toggle layer, I can switch between Mac key bindings and windows key bindings. There’s probably a Mac mode on the keyboard but from my experience, you can’t change the Mac mode layout, only windows. Thank you!
yeah, so you wouldn't be able to change the Mac mode layout on that software, it's quite a basic basic software from my experience. Honestly I prefer VIA. You could change the capslock, but couldn't see like a fn layer button on the software unfortunately to like toggle it on and off
My doctor told me fingernails that look like that need to be checked out by a doctor boss
I have heard that often, it's just how my nails have been my whole life haha
I just got my latenpow deng god switch, and they're so much better than the stock lekker switches! I didn't expect them to be this good because of how cheap they are but they feel and sound really good and have like no wobble whatsoever. They're alot lighter than the lekker 60s is well. also, how much better are pbt keycaps over abs? i have the abs wooting keycaps but they're starting to shine a bit.
Yeah the Latenpow are definitely really great. Personally I prefer PBT keycaps but that's personal preference. Some ABS can be good though
Is the white color you have more eggshell? I wanted to go for a retro look
@@amora135_ yeah I would say like it’s almost like a creamy white? Almost beige
@@mikeytypes Thank you for your response
@@mikeytypes Thank you for your quick response!
@@amora135_ no problem 😊
Try the HE switches from Glorious which are Lynx HE (linear HE), Panda HE (Tactile HE), Raptor HE (Clicky HE)
@@Colourkeys I’ll look into them!
Will the tap mod affect the performance of the keyboard? Would love to see Nano68 review too!
@@boriesgodwami8450 I don’t believe it would. I can definitely see if I can!
Imagine if it has a knob
Hey, i have the jades in my wooting redux, and the ttcs in my made68. The jades feel too heavy and mushy to me, but i don't like the sound of the ttcs. Should i get jade pro or ttcs for my wooting?
@@s0ap834 hmmmm what kind of sound profile are you looking for? The jade pro is very similar to the jades but less stem wobble
I have Piano's in my two most expensive Clacky style boards. And I put a Piano in almost every board's spacebar... That should say something :D
@@AquaPeet the piano switches are quite nice yeah a nice Thocky switch
Wow, Mike, you put a LOT of effort in this video!! Lubed 3 batches of switches, modded the keeb and stuck the three batches of switches in the keeb. And the recording, editing, narrating... Don't burn yourself up! :) But thank you for the information.
@@AquaPeet haha thank you! Trying my best
And I hope it pays off! 🥰
@ thank you!
I just woke up and came up to this video by recommendations from youtube. And now i feel that i'm gonna back to my sleep again due to your nicely warm hypnosis voice. Thanks for your great sharing.
@@glaycard85 thank you!
wait, do you love this board? i couldn't tell :) great stuff mikey
Hahaha thank you
using akko rosewood switches on my Aula. Love them, thats an amazing looking board......but I need a numpad.
haha that's completely fair
Super cleannnn. I’ve been looking for a board to take back and fourth from work in my backpack but still with customization options. Ultimately i think finding a good case is the goal
@@chippy613 I take this to work and yeah super great for portable use
im guessing this is the exact same keyboard as the regular chillkey nd75 except low profile
@@gun-e-3 not actually the exact same as the regular 75 similar but they made changes for it to be low profile
can u do a review about royal kludge r75, its a budget keyboard with a really good sound, i just wanna see your opinion and review, about it, btw really nice vide
@podG354 thank you! I’ll look into that and see if I can! 😊
Thank you for the chapters!! 🎉
Love this board. I just saw someone selling on Facebook Marketplace near me
@@chippy613 oh really I wonder why they didn’t want to keep it. Loving the wooden board
@@mikeytypes it seems like they were downsizing their collection! A bunch of cool custom boards and switches on his page
The MU02 Autumn variant has the golden plate it’s really nice
@@antoniojose-zf9ph yeah I saw that! Though I really like the Keycaps for this one haha
@@mikeytypes Me too! I think if the keeb had the gold and the Mountain Seclusion keycap set, I would have one by now. Instead I ordered the keycap set and it's on my cream GEM80 :D Beautiful in real life. As high quality as on the photos. AKKO did well.
@ oh yeah the golden and the Keycaps would have been really nice
Hey, best reviewer. Not many do what you do, showing original switches and lubed sound test. If people only knew how wonderful and addictive, it is to have a custom keyboard that sounds and feels super premium!! I do have a question for you if you don't mind?
@@ralfman5 thank you! What’s your question?
@I did the modded wooting 60he, moved the case to the alumaze case, 3 layer tape, re used the wooting foarm, now I noticed the top layer(numbers) is sticking up more. It’s not even. Should I remove the wooting original padding and use the sound dampening you use?
@ if it’s sticking up more I would remove a layer of tape first and see if that helps. Are you only using the original Wooting foam and nothing else? Because from my experience it didn’t stick up a lot when I did that as the Wooting foam wasn’t super thick
@@mikeytypes Yes I'm using just the stock wooting, from the number 3 to the dash, it sticks out a lil more when look at it from the rear when looking at the RGB. Other than that, it's an amazing feel and sound.
@@ralfman5 did you also put a screw in the middle between the g and h? What I would suggest is try pressing the 3- dashes in see if the switches are like fully in or the keycaps are fully in and then I would try adding the screw between the g and h and if that doesn't work remove a lay of tape. I do know though that the number area does stick up a bit but shouldn't be too much
How about Geon Lucifer HE Switches, are u planning to try them also?
@@Vincy_02 oh didn’t know they had come out. Yeah I’ll look into getting them
I got the MU01. When I was buying it I thought about getting the MU02 but I just liked the gold strip on the 01 better. It just looked so classy. Love the board so much. That said, the Akko Cloud Driver is terrible and had I known how bad it was I might have strongly considered the 02. As a developer I use my F10-F12 keys daily. I was planning on customizing the keyboard so that I could switch my layers on the fly so I could easily get my F keys, but there is no way to on the fly switch layers. If you want to switch layers you have to open the cloud driver and manually switch the layer which is just awful.
@@PaulyGutes that’s completely fair! Yeah they really should upgrade the cloud driver I have been mentioning it often on my videos hopefully they start to consider making the updates
get rid of the background music
I love the MU01. It’s such a unique board. I didn’t know Akko had this 75% keyboard or I might have gotten this one instead. 😊
@@melissacole8376 yeah the MU01 really is amazing!
for quality rainy 75, bridge 75 or womier rd 75 pro??
I haven't tried the Womier, I would say in terms of just quality the Bridge 75
Thank's a lot for your review!❤ Do I need switches with a light diffuser for the rgb to work? I would like to use the Akko Penguine switches with this board. But only if the rgb still works😅
Oh no you don't just need a switch with a light diffuser, but having one will help the light become more visible
Can you please Make a Video in that you explain What you Need for Building a custom and What the Parts are doing I am a liddle Bit confused?
ohhh hmm I can't definitely look to see if I can make a video like that. One parts are you most confused with?
You can use normal switch with this keyboard😂
In the last two years the gap really closed..
@@MrBasically810 it really has!
@@mikeytypes Yep, youre talking to someone whos been in the game for almost 10 years.. at this point paying 400+ is you basically paying for material and design not sound profiles...
@@MrBasically810 that's true now it's definitely more material based
Great video, kind of unrelated question but what are the keycaps on the bottom board at the start of the video?
@@rmkball1191 ohh in the intro? That’s actually the Crush80 keyboard
My favourite version is the stock tbh xD
@@Fuinhaa that’s fair!
My local pc shop has this and the nd75. Both sound quite amazing but the nd75 sounded a little better.
@@downundergarage6968 that’s fair! My ND75 video was not the prebuilt but the diy version so the switches I used were from WS so not as great as maybe the prebuilt sound
I have bridge75 plus version and change the switches to rosewood and vertex v1 it sounds so good man. Definitely Worth it! Btw the plus version is more deeper sound than the base version. Love your content Mikey keep it up 👌
@@ffnn2647 thank you! Yeah I was thinking the plus would be a bit deeper with the extra foam was hoping to try that one but I have to go with what is sent to me haha
I love seeing so much competition in this space. It leads to better prices for the consumers, although it makes choosing the right one harder because there are so many options now. I'm happy I found your channel because you make choosing the right keyboard so much easier. Keep it up :D
@@Piev_ thank you! My goal is to really help someone not waste money
Love your videos! Could you please add chapters for the sound tests? 😁
@@rachellenel0412 thank you!! I added in some of the time stamps! I tried not adding them anymore just to try and bring up the viewer retention but if it’s more helpful I can definitely do that again
Imo cuz the board still have a flexcut, i would say that sound become thocky-creamy i guess, but if the board non flexcut, im gonna be easy say more clacky. but yeah, for a budged prebuilt, this board looks interesting, it could be fun to compare with any 75% prebuild like ND75 or Rainy75
@@rizkiabnan yeah it was definitely pretty interesting to try. I do love the design except that wireless toggle is really not great. But for deeper sounds and considering price I would probably go with like the Rainy or ND over this one
@@mikeytypes i agree with that, brother
Loved the review! Earned a sub! Will be reviewing this too!
@@Rx003 thank you! Oh nice! Will be interesting to see your thoughts
yeeeee! rainy75 or nd75 are my choices too, i hear a lot of ppl say they like the bridge75 better but nahh i prefer other 2. rainy sounds great w fr4 plate and hand lubed cocoa switches
that's completely fair! I also would choose the Rainy75, but that's because I prefer a deeper sound than a clackier sound
@ me too, I’m gna make a clacky build to see how I like it with hmm xinhai’s, thinking qk65 v2 classic. That was recommended to me
Btw have u tried out the mz y3 switches?? They sound AMAZING, and they pretty cheap

@@CSALFNskinspls thank you! Also usually when I remove old ones it’s because there are like updated versions that come out
do you have any mods on this keyboard other than the foam that came with it? these switches sound amazing
@@austinblack5990 no other mods
@@mikeytypes awesome because I am waiting on my AULA s98 Pro to get here in the mail and I am going to install these switches in it with some PBT key caps in hope to achieve this exact sound youve achieved
@ ohh hmm as it’s a different board it may not come out the same because that’s in my Meletrix Zoom75
I have Akko Rosewood switch now because it comes with the pre-built Mu02 wooden keyboard. But IDK, I thought it sounded more thocky than creamy IRL.
@@Annes.Archives that’s fair it will sound different in different boards for sure! I find Thocky and creamy is a very thin line though and many times can be interchangeable
@@mikeytypes i agree. suppose it comes with a different base, plate, or foam thickness, the sound will change. but creamy or thocky, i totally love the sound of akko rosewood switches. it's the reason why i bought the mu02 keyboard.
Shoulda got the bridge75. Its better build quality. Im glad i waited till it was in stock instead of getting the rainy.

@@unknownn.j it’s got 500hz polling rate I can’t really test the like latency accurately but it will be fine for most like in terms of gaming I don’t experience a input delay when wired
The milky yellows are one of the best sounding budget switches ever made. However i had to replace them with milky reds because the yellows are super heavy
that's completely fair, the yellows are definitely great in terms of sound but could feel heavy. Have you tried out the Akko Rosewood?
