The Wilson-Webbon Dust-Up
In this episode of the Current Reality Podcast, hosts Michael Clary and Wade Thomas discuss the recent controversy between Pastors Joel Webbon and Tobias Riemenschneider. This discussion is meant to provide a ballast and inform those who want to know. The episode focuses on pastoral care, the nuances of online versus local ministry, and the role of truth and respect in handling disputes. They explore the importance of maintaining a non-anxious, fatherly presence in ministry, the pitfalls of contempt for elder pastors, and emphasize the significance of slow, thoughtful communication in the digital age. They end with reasons for hope in truth, the Gospel, and the Church's ability to handle conflict well.

Joel Saying hes uncomfortable around ppl who r not white, that only white Christian men shud lead, that black men and women should never be put ahead if white men to speak, that mothers should be put on death row, that to solve immigration he says joel says killing millions..... i cud go on..... he says these things with his own mouth and free will and that's not personality because most ppl dont say those things regardless if u like tgem or not and its really easy to actually agree with ppl u dislike personality when u actually agree theres no reason not to agree just cuz u dislike personality. Skin crawling isnt personality thats discernment. To listen for hrs and hrs for yrs and to actually research and review the topics, issues, language and influences and to call out false teaching isnt about personality even tho ya prob dislike the personality of a false teacher. Dont put the cart before the horse. I have zero isdues saying it like it is and calling joel out not for personality and not for platforming but oure and simple for false teaching, adding to gospel, redefining words, mongering fear and anxiety amoung followers, encouraging his own fearful anxiety of race upon his closest sheep. I personally know ppl in his church. U will know them by their fruits. Fine to go hot topics, but this guy is someone most ppl truly have no clue who they r defending. and at first sure ask whats this going on..... he should be called out, and brothers need to confront him and if a meeting or hearing should be had or if he can repent and be mentored and step down forever. Hes never been lead or taught by elders and is hotty and should be confronted and discipled privately and if he doesn't repent the baptists and reformed churches should consider if more extreme measures r called for if joel continues to promote racism and mass murders. Not just jews hes not discriminatory about who he's a racist towards he treats everyone whos not looking like himself the same plus no grace towards sin and thinks u punish sin with literal death row. Instead of sharing the gospel with the lost or even the pagan hes so afraid hed rather promote killing ppl instead. Im not exaggerated, unfortunately, because i wish it wasn't so.

My issues with the continued conversations on the "dust up" is the neglect to observe what is being taught and promoted. I understand the supposed dust up is iver a church member but y is tgat? Y is it not about joels language? About what joel tbinks on race because tells ppl publicly over and over and over how he feels about race and so id not question that his followers or church member felt comfortable sharing the views with joel because joel says he thinks the same and teaches the same snd yet no one calls for any accountability on joel for the things he says thst r race centered and tgst continue to talk of killing millions of ppl and these words come out of joels mouth... on top of that he promotes works, adds to the gospel and redefines faith. Y is that not the issue? Y is the issue the church member who resembles his pastors attitude? Maybe ppl will stomach the long long videos and hrs snd yrs of what he teaches to be familiar enough with what he says to believe he believes what he says and teaches. Maybe someday he will he held accountable for his teachings.
