This is the North Fork of the Siletz River. Its in a very special part of the Oregon Coast Range called the Valley of the Giants, a protected enclave of first growth forest, about thirty miles from anything. I jumped in last year and it was so cold it literally took my breath away. Clear, clean, turquoise water. Enjoy!

I lowered my GoPro from a bridge over the Alsea River in the Central Oregon Coast Range, and caught some pretty footage of these young fish, which I later identified as Sea Run Cutthroat Trout, which spend a little time in the river before going out to sea.
