SOME OF MY NEW FILMS, 2021 ONWARDS. PLUS SOME OLD FILMS MADE BY A GROUP OF US FROM CREWE & SURROUNDING AREAS.
Some old documentary films & others that are
totally crazy.
We had a lot of fun making these.
Made purely for our own entertainment. Approx 1988-1994.
Group numbers ranged from 3-9 people, depending on what we were filming.
Sadly, many of the group are no longer with us.
Recorded on 8mm & Hi8. Then edited on s-vhs & then down to vhs.
All 'crash edited', didn't have a pc, or edit controller, so edited with 2 vcr machines, releasing 'pause' on one & 'record pause' on the other.
We had a good few laughs making them.
I subsequently transferred them onto DVD & then onto PC.
I stopped making films in 1994, then started again when Covid came along, to keep my brain active.
Editing on a pc & setting up 2 TH-cam channels was a bit of a steep learning curve for an old git, (then 68), like me. Still gives me a laugh making them though.

PANASONIC HC X900 TEST FOOTAGE 2
Just a quick video filmed on holiday September 2024, showing the kind of results you can get with this Panasonic HC X900. It's a 3-chip Camcorder
& is a really nice Camera to use.

PANASONIC HC X900 TEST FOOTAGE
มุมมอง 4328 วันที่ผ่านมา
The Panasonic HC X900 is a 3 C-mos camcorder, which has 1 individual sensor for each primary colour, instead of the normal , shared, single sensor. This seems to make the colours slightly clearer & gives less lens 'flare' when panning, or zooming. I bought this as it had many positive reviews & the footage looked very good. I noticed that the movements of the birds in flight on this footage I f...
FRENCH FISHMONGER & OUTSIDE MARKET 2024.
มุมมอง 101หลายเดือนก่อน
Went over to Etaple, Pas De Calais (again). Really like this area, it's not too touristy, yet close to plenty of interesting places to visit. Weather's generally, (but not always), pretty decent. Went on September 15th, 2024, having booked a 6-berth mobile home, (static caravan), via Canvas holidays for under £300 per week. made a short video of the fishmarket & outside market there. Mick.

VIDEO & PHOTOS FROM THE 90s UP UNTIL AROUND 2015. MOLLY LEE'S & OTHER STOKE PUBS, NOT SURE WHICH ONES. HAD SOME CRACKIN' NIGHTS, FREQUENTLY INVOLVED A BIT OF FANCY DRESS. SADLY, NOT MUCH VIDEO, OR PHOTOS SURVIVED, SO I'VE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FEATURE EVERYONE WHO WAS FILMED. Mick.
CANON LEGRIA HF S10 TEST FOOTAGE. WESTPORT LAKE, TUNSTALL
มุมมอง 413 หลายเดือนก่อน
Filmed this to show just how good the CANON HF S10 truly is. They were £1299 new & can be picked up now for £100 - £200, if you can find one. Superb value at that & top of the range when it came out. Very good specs, full HD with half inch chip, brilliant lens, exceptionally clear viewing screen, etc, etc. Plenty of manual adjustments, or great on 'Auto'. Please see my info video. Mick

NERO PLATINUM, SIMPLE FIRST TIME EDITING.
มุมมอง 1213 หลายเดือนก่อน
I just wanted to make a simple information video for first time editors using Nero Platinum 2024, or 2020. This info may apply to other versions of Nero, but I'm not sure on that. Aimed at people, who like myself, didn't know where to start when it came to editing video on a PC. It can be a daunting prospect. Been editing on Nero for four years now, (since I was 68) & I find it's a lot easier t...

Dammed sight better than it is now
Hi do you have any more videos of Brian and the orchestra? I used to play in the orchestra in the mid 90s
Hi, sorry only just seen this message. Unfortunately, this video was a one-off. Did it as a favour for Brian, he was a friend & a really nice bloke. It was a fund raiser for a trip to Kentucky. If you'd like a copy to keep, happy to put you one on a usb. You'd have to collect from Stoke. Regards. Mick., ( ex Crewite). roadrunner.mick@hotmail.co.uk
How do i conmec5 a cd olayer to this mixer and what slider number does i use for it
Hi, sorry only just seen this. You can connect your cd player using a stereo phono lead,(shown in the video), to input,7/8. 9/10.11/12, or 13/14. Hope this helps. Mick.
Thank you. Those were happy days. Mick.
Thank you for watching.Glad you enjoyed. Mick.

Oh, I am living near Seattle, Wa, US. This was fun and lovely.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed. Mick.
Adorable! Thanks for sharing!!
It was much more beautiful then now .❤
I can't argue with that. Much busier too thanks to the Internet.
Nice looking town. Lovely looking old cars and trucks also.
2:44 always come back for this bit
Really good.
I have used the Behringer Xenyx X2442, a little bit bigger desk but very similar. I must say the amount of possibility's they cram into these desks is amazing? The sound quality is absolutely fine. The only thing I would say is, whilst Behringer equipment is OK if left in one spot as in a home studio etc I would not be so sure of the reliability of 'on the road'?
Crewe needs a heck of a lot doing to it now to make it a place to go. How it applied for CITY status I will never know ,it isn't even a TOWN anymore.
Big healthy looking lad, eh :)
Aye, we think this quite a young one, as we've seen one much bigger, but couldn't get any decent footage of it.
That's lovely Mick
It fascinated us & kept us entertained for a good while.
It fascinated us & kept us entertained for a good while.
Spent a weekend in Crewe last April and being in the town centre at 5PM on Sunday afternoon , I felt as though we were back in lockdown as all the shops had closed and the town centre was virtually deserted. Am a great fan of Haslington. Got a few friends who live there and feel there is a real community spirit in that village.
this video is gold
For a railway's town, Crewe road traffic is such a nightmare!
i briefly went to Crewe uni in the 90's and not too offend anyone from Crewe but it was an absolute fucking shit hole (and that's putting it nicely). One of the happiest days of my life was when i left and never went back.
Turkish, Eastern European shit hole now. Just moved out, not my home town any more.
You think it was bad then you want to see it now it's more deprived than ever it's not even worth filming as everything has gone down included 👍
For the 1st 45 secs you were spot on...😂 Then it went to "Once upon a time"
worth a visit, i reckon
Posh
Hmmm ! ! ..... you should have seen it in the 1960's ....... ( ? ) ....... DAVE™ 🛑

Nice and beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. Big like 1
Hi Sandip. Thank you for your comment. Glad to know you enjoyed it. All the best. Mick.
Fast forwards to 2023 and the Town Centre looks like a Ukrainian battlefield thanks to Cheshire Least Council.
Yep. I still visit friends in Crewe. It's not a pretty sight now. Mick
@@grandadskitchenstokeontren6099 It's absolutely awful now, it's criminal what Cheshire Least Council have done.

@@suitsyousir1980 Totally drunken Polish one an all 👎

Moving back for 2023
Unemployment, closed businesses and derelict properties. Now doesn’t that just sound familiar? I have lived here all my life and can confidently say nothing has changed for the better. Take the town centre for instance, shops were told to not renew their leases at the end of 2009 due to a redevelopment scheme that hadn’t been confirmed yet resulting in 50% of the units in town being empty until 2019. Since then they have demolished a large area of the town entirely and have plans for ‘A cinemas, a bowling alley a street of shops and some car parking’. This sound great until you think back to the last big project built in Crewe, the ‘Leisure Park’ on Dunwoody way. The one with the Cinema which is now on the brink of closing and the bowling alley which went out of business five years ago and has been an empty unit since. As for the street of shops they plan to build in the town centre? What did they demolish originally if not two streets of shops (and yes the rundown bus workshop which did need to go but will probably become yet another car park, something we don’t need)
it did become a car park😳
😂😂*
Cracking bit of film - I also noticed that you had this camera up for sale on PreLoved
Nice little film 👍 Nice simple story line and a blast from the past 👍 I really enjoyed that 👏 Warmest wishes from South Wales 🏴 - Jonathan 😊 👍
I'm from sandbach. Moved to crewe when I was 20, cheaper rents. Great place to live and shop, lovely parks, regular buses, lots of jobs. I moved to Somerset 7 years ago...to get married, but there's so much I miss.... Wright's pies, Roberts bread, chatwins cakes, Nantwich Road bakery, Harvey's breakfast rolls.... And everything being within walking distance.... Dr, dentist, college, etc. Crewe had it just right. And rent here is extortionate!!! Moan all you want haters... You've got it good. I am happy here, but... I miss the northern way. Can't even get decent chippy gravy here!!! I've subscribed to this channel.... Show me more crewe x
Wrights pies has closed it's shop in Crewe, I have lived here for about 4 years and I have never known a bakery in Nantwich road so that must have closed down as well. Can't get a dentist on the NHS anymore. trying to get a DR appointment now has become a nightmare. And the best chippy's around me has closed down.
I remember 2 or 3 bakeries on Nantwich Road.
I'm from Alsager originally and did the same from Crewe to Somerset. It is lovely in Somerset but there are plenty of things I miss back up home. In Crewe/Cheshire you could get everywhere so quickly and easily, in Somerset you have to get North of Bristol before you feel like you're getting anywhere
Superbly done.
ace
It's definitely a shit hole now
Quite different now!
@@smctfan39 I live in Crewe and have done all of my life-it’s a small crappy town with one of the worst high streets I’ve ever seen. We’ll never be a city, what are you talking about??!!
