Obsolete parts are my favorite... Especially if it's a structural component, on a very popular car. Like for example, my fox body needs, two frame rails, and two strut towers. Because some students, who thought they knew what they were doing, ground all the paint off of them, and did not restore the corrosion protection. And time, went to work on that bad repair. But when they added the pipe from the intercooler, they beat the s*** out of the strut tower, with a ball peen hammer, after they heated up the ultra high strength steel with a cutting torch. That they did, after, everything under the hood had been painted. Students, who I hope, after looking at this car, did not go into the industry as professionals. Now I am left to clean up their mess. And can't get parts. I'm not trying to convert everything over to a tubular configuration. Because I already have a hard enough time, keeping the front wheels on the ground. I'm not trying to make it lighter. Simple things, like tailpipes, should be easy to find. But they are not. And the last time I had sum made... Pipenstien, the master technician in charge of bending my tail pipes.... Did not add hangers. But instead, welded them to my trailer hitch. So, that's the best guy in the neighborhood. I feel like I'm kind of screwed. On this car. Which is almost a thousand horsepower, and rotting, in my driveway. Don't ever buy a project car.. you have no idea how bad, the previous owner phuct it up. And if the previous technicians, was a classroom of students... Learning, how to f*** things up, at school... Just walk away! What once sounded good on paper, has turned into a mathematical nightmare! Murphy was right.. if it seems too good to be true. It probably is.

Better comparison would be 70s vs 90s itd be a bit closer with the syclone being one of the coolest trucks ever, the zr1 was back too, camaro still had the same body till 94.
