Right before the pandemic, I was in Tulum, Mexico for a vacation. While I was walking in town, I saw giant billboard advertising condos for $100,000 USD per unit. Two year later, I went back to Tulum with curiocity - if I would find something for this price again?
In this episode, I will explain what I like about Tulum, such as its location, its culture scene, as well as the breakdown on the price of my vacation home.
My condo is right in Tulum town centre. It was listed for $200k USD, with another $10k for upgrades, $2k for Mayan Walls. The total is $212k. Aldea Zama, an upper-scale gated community closer to the ocean and for foreign residents only, for a 2 bedroom unit, you are looking at $270-$280k to start. Tulum 101, an upcoming premium condo project and is even closer to the ocean, 2 bedroom starts at $400k.
