Partial Solar Eclipse in downtown Los Angeles. Commenced filming at 9:53 am. It was an amazing event to say the least. All I used was my cellphone, mini-tripod, and specialized certified UV solar eclipse shades which black out everything except the sun (the sun actually appears as a dim incandescent entity when wearing these glasses and protects your eyes from the intense brightness of this kind of celestial event.) I wrestled with my camera to get the right angle from where I was situated, when finally, I my mini-tripod cooperated, and the shades and the camera captured the event very nicely. I filmed for a little over 30 minutes. My cellphone is fine, it's charging now as all the video of the eclipse drained the battery. After this video was over I took a 2nd back up video for a little over 10 mins. And that one came out nice as well. No problems whatsoever with recordation on either this video or the back up.
