As long as there's a new over funded program designed to waste and steal tax payer money 👍
Slight difference. All, that's 100% of military personnel have had extensive trainning. Each soldier, airmen, etc is an important cog in the militaries machine. Also, all military personnel are held accountable forvtheir performance. 100% of cvilians are not trained. Nor are 100% held accountable for their performance. In a world where everyone worked to their abilities level, I agree. But the pure communism would be Utopia too.
No rational or intelligent person uses the word communism ignorantly like you do. Indoctrinated sheep misuse that word like you do. Be better
Oh, I don’t know, I think universal childcare might make it easier for these “untrained” people to get trained and then our workforce might actually function and thrive. It’s not utopian, it’s standard, bottom-up capitalism with statistical data behind it. Everyone would be getting paid for their labor and it puts more people in the labor market who would otherwise be unpaid and housebound. However, if you think women should be barefoot, pregnant, and trapped at home without money, while families fail to succeed on a single income… I don’t know what to say about that. Any job requires training, but you need a babysitter to get to the training. Please explain your logic for depriving the rest of the population from this basic, and economically beneficial concept?
@lfrands You got a smile out of me with the barefoot and etc. Comment. You've touched on many issues. All of which are very valid. Through the lenses I see the world with, the core issue is the decline of the family unit. Combined with the decline of the village mentality. It takes a village to raise a child, is a truism. How does society get back to neighbors help neighbors. When businesses used to take care of their employees. When we could leave our windows open all day while we went shopping because we knew our neighbors were watching. Time and time again, examples of good intentioned government programs do not deliver positive results. Do I have a solution. No, I have a few ideas. But. I do believe government is not the answer.
@@bradacker8028 thanks, because I had preschool, daycare and public school until college, where I also attended a state school in Montana and one in Oregon at different points. That’s all government mixed with private spending that saved my parents money as they were both working. And I made friends in public school that I still have 35 years later, my village was born out of socializing at daycare. Government is very practiced at mixing with the private sector to provide support so women like my mother can become, say, executives. That’s exactly what she did while my father was also working. The village that raised me was diverse, consenting, happy, and paid, instead of stressed, or economically forced into free childcare because they were denied the federal funds that would bridge the gap. Federal funds make a village. They are ours to use for our benefit. My mother was able to live a full life as well as be my parent. Rich people can choose to stay home, hire help, etc. to be that village. Social service spending isn’t a replacement for families because society has collapsed, it’s to help people create their choices, bolster their village, and keep people from disappearing into the cracks. Programs like Head Start (a great place to meet other young parents) are statistically proven to help families stay together, stay in housing, and for young people to stay out of trouble later in life. Government spending on childcare is just that, caring for children, mitigating what I think you refer to as “the decline of the family”. It’s not replacing anything except a lack of financial security. It’s just making sure more money can be spent on food, medicine, and heat by parents (because childcare is SO expensive). Offering financial assistance drawn from our collective taxes is not controversial, it’s literally in the preamble of the constitution: provide for the general welfare. However, expecting free babysitting labor from neighbors, or women to stay home doing unpaid labor for 18 years is pretty ridiculous when we know the myriad benefits of funding early childcare and the contribution of those women when they enter our economy. But that’s not my opinion, that’s the economic research council or whoever studies early childcare funding outcomes. I don’t think families are in decline, I just think people aren’t as trapped inside abusive or heartless situations the way they used to be. Nothing wrong with leaving a bad marriage. But I do wish people would be more intentional when choosing to have kids. They’re always the ones to suffer. Thanks for talking with me! Hope that’s interesting and not condescending or anything, all my best 💖
