I have a 1.6 hdi since 2005 and I can say that up to 200,000 km there were no problems until the dpf clogged. After that, the dpf was removed and now the car has traveled 480,000 km and I have absolutely no problems. Just regular maintenance and that's it.

I own a 92 GMC Typhoon that I bought brand new. It has 123,000 problem free miles on it. I've done nothing but regular maintenance on it and I drove that thing like I stole it on many occasions.

Even Wikipedia isn't as flawed in its commentary, and despite the authors tenuous understanding of good design over slavish eye appeal from a modern perspective, a great many listed are now seen as iconic, and have remained collectable for half a century. Just take look around and see how many retro-remakes are now remembering after decades much later on, without the chrome, and flashing their matte black plastic trims.

There were no Pontiac Trans-ams with the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder ever built. The 5.0 liter 302 V8 in the Ford Mustang was a move in the right direction which ultimately a very good fit in the Mustang.

Another thing I miss are the cigarette lighters and ashtrays. And I don't smoke. But they had other uses that the power outlets just don't have. For instance, if you're out somewhere and NEED to start a fire and don't have a lighter or matches.

Vent windows disappeared purely for styling reasons. In 1966 Bill Mitchell (head of GM styling) had them eliminated from the Buick Riviera. He considered vent windows along with antennas and windshield wipers an interruption in the styling. He called it visual diarrhea. The trend very quickly spread to other manufacturers.
