      Most definitely! I've had mine now....I think 5 or 6 years. I've replaced the damper once... but no issues. I for sure like it better than having to depend on the fan...

      @@mattroth602 ohhh gotcha...I haven't gotten back around to making these again. I have a BAD habit of trying recipes out to see if I can do them and then not doing it again for a long time! But I'd most likely arrange cooling racks in a tent like setup next time. Or shop for a rack that may fit in the BGE...

    That's not cold smoking. Cold smoking is when your temp between 64.4 and 87. You defied the whole purpose of the smoke generator.

      You are correct. This was more about the cold smoke generator vs an actual cold smoke. I like this generator because you can use it for both cold and hot smoking.

      @DAME AMAZING i usually put hickory wood chips on top of coals and i get enough smoke when i am cooking beef brisket. So what do you think of this smoke generator? Is it worth to buy it?

      @bronik7 it was for me yes. I've had it I guess 5-6 years now and love what I'm able to do with it. I also use the chunks intermittently when low temperature isn't needed. Just good to have when you want to cold smoke cheese, bacon, peppers etc. Very good tool for your arsenal.

    Looks awesome, nicely done. One trick you might like, slice the whole thing and vac seal + freeze in sliced portions. Just drop the frozen bag in boiling water for 5-10 mins and serve!

      Thanks for subscribing! I think you'll love the alder wood. I used pellets here but may adjust to use chips next time as Smoke Daddy (the cold smoke unit) recommends chips. I'll do some research and see which one might be best for a medium green egg. Probably the smallest one available I'm guessing. Any suggestions? Did yours connect easily to your green egg?

      That's an old myth. In reality, the wood is more antimicrobial than plastic. The wicking motion of food fibers quickly draws moisture out of microbes and causes them to be destroyed. Meanwhile, bacteria that can become lodged in cracks and scratches in plastic can just sit there until the next piece of food comes along.
