Zooko, Nate Wilcox, and Sean Bowe: Zcash
My conversation with Zooko, Nate Wilcox, and Sean Bowe about the Zcash protocol.
Zooko is a cypherpunk who co-founded Zcash along with his brother, Nate Wilcox, and others. Sean Bowe is a cryptographer and engineer who has played a crucial role in the development of Zcash and has made significant contributions to advancements in zero-knowledge proofs, particularly zk-SNARKs, which underpin Zcash’s privacy features.

How Nivi wrote the most popular startup blog of its time

This clip was recorded and made using air.chat. At one point, together with Naval Ravikant, Nivi wrote one of the most influential startup blogs of its time. Nobody cares about your thought process. Just give the conclusion and then sup...

Thank you for sharing! I need help: My crypto wallet on OKX holds some USDT, and I have the recovery phrase: -clean- -party- -soccer- -advance- -audit- -clean- -evil- -finish -tonight- -involve- -whip- -action-. How should I proceed with moving them to KuCoin?
Naval is amazing, we all know that. The interviewer got the best of Naval though. So kudos!
had to slow this down and absorb all, call me black hole!
what a great surprise of a podcast 👀
unstoppable private money 🔥 💴
Keep these coming Arjun. Love it.
Arjun is very early with this!
Thanks for this video. I would have liked the paradoxical side of the use of creativity in ancient societies to be more developed. Maybe in another video?
48:35 "...it's baked into the Human Species...". By whom ?
> No, we've never run out of a single resource, ever ??? scarcity of resources is absolutely a thing, and has killed millions and wiped out civilizations throughout history. I guess I get his point, but I don't think the people he thinks he is arguing against are saying anything different than what he is. We all want better knowledge and solutions to allow us to build a healthy and sustainable future. Errors right now which exhaust or contaminate resources can and will cause suffering and cost lives. Less so if you're a millionaire, but these are real and not made up concerns. The importance of conserving the earth and its ecosystem which allows us to live cannot be understated imho. edit: I might just be being stupid, maybe there are people in his circle who say we should not advance at all
Interesting
This video is banging 🔥
wow! Arjun the editing in this is brilliant never thought I'd view Sparta as the bad guys but oh well!
Why does David D say if he invented an AGI he wouldn’t tell us?! Also, how could it be only to gigabytes? I agree it will be a qualitative invention requiring little RAM but won’t it require a plug into an LLM so it can express itself? Asking cuz I’m trying to build an AGI
Why does Naval look like he's done with podcasting and interviews.
Techno-optimism!
To know ourselves or our society we need to build something that better understand these hierarchy, and maybe that is evolving .
Wonderful Arjun !!
Incredible! Awesome work.
Judaism and Christian religions have there foundations in creating and controlling the future. Why do you think belief is such an important thing in those religions. You are not going to influence future if you cant believe what is not yet and not believe what is unless you are compelled to.
Keep going, Arjun! Thank you for this video.

this is EPIC!
cool
Bruh if you could like- have war llamas of the East spread across the west in the next animation- that'd be sick😂 and like- the horses in the west are just running wild. I loved that in the BoI. Maybe in a parallel universe it happened🐋👍 we gotta take down Guns Germs and Steel, Mel Gibson was praising Jared Diamond recently on Joe Rogan- totally should challenge this praise.
love love your work arjun,, very deep and takes us the downhill of what matters
Bangers only 💯 Let’s gooo Arjun!!
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo

Thank you! I love how you're invoking Deutch's ideas in your documentary. Can't wait for the rest!
Naval still don’t get popper nor deutsch.
Naval enticed me to watch it, He's so intellectual.

"There will be no more great physicists". Feynman didn't know why though.
Great interview Arjun!
which 2 books is he referring to around 3 mins time of video
The Beginning of Infinity and The Fabric of Reality by David Deutsch
Yup, that is optimism; but the specific optimistic model that is being used could still be wrong. A not-so-optimistic model might fit better. Or perhaps an equally (or more) optimistic model fits best.
Good lord. Maybe some people really should stick to their areas of expertise... O r is Davy trying out for the position of ' rational Jordan Petersen'... To be fair though, I only lasted about 20 minutes, so maybe he redeemed himself in the end, but from the intro and what I watched, he certainly seems the type specimen of 'ivory tower academician'.
16:50 great talk but don’t know why we gotta distort some easily verifiable facts. North America isn’t a NET carbon sink. Sure there are a lot of forest regrowth in NA offsetting the carbon emissions (about 13%), the net carbon output is very much positive. Also, rich people growing gardens or trees has very little to do with this. It’s most because of better and efficient agricultural and forest management practices.
Great interview, thanks!
This is a really good interview! A lot of good insight into our nature and having a solid framework for Deutsch book. Just some feedback - The next time you get Naval around, because I know you will, I hope you challenge him on the claims he's making. Steelman the arguments of the other side, to really showcase the strength/weakness of his explanation. I also get the excitement from talking to someone like Naval, but try to beathe deeply and channel that energy towards slowing down. (easier said than done, I would probably lose my shit) You earned a like and a subscribe from me. Getting the guest you're getting, with the age and size you have, means you have a great network where people see great potential in you. I'm certain you're going to make more amazing episodes like this. Keep up the great work Arjun! :)
Nobody is going to war over copyright. Why? because the economic value of copying is zero.
