Hi I'm planning to visit Portland this year. May I know which hotel did you stay at?
Pre-COVID Portland is so different, good to have experienced a lively Portland. Nowadays, Portland is horrible. Empty street, lot of homeless camps, most shops closed.

Ironically your vid came up when I was traveling solo in Portland. If you ever go back, check out Multnomah Falls. Amazing! About an hour east of the city easy drive, may need to reserve a ticket before you go online. Other than that lol back to CA

what age did your eyes stabilize? I have the same prescription as you and I am now 20, my eyes have changed by 0.25 over the past two years, so I am assuming it's stable but am not sure if it is a wise choice

Hi I live in Portland...there are hotels that is very pet friendly. Restaurants have dog bowls for them. I say the city is very pet friendly but I would say just be mindful they don't pick up something into their mouths when you are walking the dog.

Hi ! This trip has been a year ago so idk if you’ll see my comment but I want to go to Oregon this month and I was wondering how much you spend on your trip. Just to be somewhat prepared lol
I think I spent about $700-800 😊 but I saved about a grand!!

My eyes were about the same 😊 but they’re still 20/20 over a year later!

I got lasik 2 days ago! -8.5 and -7.25. I'm 20/30 right now. How long did it take for you to see 20/20?
about a week after i was 20/20!! :)
Hi Michelle! Its been a year since you last commented here. How is your vision after the healing period? I did LASIK in Oct 2022 and my prescription is also on the higher end (-7.5 and -6.5). Its almost 3 months now and unfortunately I still have some myopia at around -1.00. I have been told to wait it out a little longer to see if my prescription stabilizes and I can make the decision if I want to do enhancement again.

What was your age at that time and did you had fixed prescription for 2 years please Reply I am hopeless
i did it at 23 years old! my prescription was pretty stable for 2 years prior :)

Hi Jane, First of all thank you for making this video. I was looking for a video that documented the lasik experience from someone with a high prescription like mine. In fact we had the same exact prescription of -9,-8. I just got my eyes done. It's been about 5 days. I have a couple of questions for you. It's been about 5 months since your LASIK, how are you doing? Do you have any lingering symptoms halgo vision etc? ...and, now that I can see at a distance I find myself missing the super close up magnified eyesight from before. I know that you'll know what I mean since your prescription was as high as mine. Do you miss being able to see up close and personal? How good is your close up vision now? Thanks again for your video! I really appreciated it. Hope you and your eyes are doing well.
Thank you so much for watching! my eyes are doing amazing! my halo vision went away and i don't get dry eyes anymore. i totally get what you mean about the close up vision, but it hasn't bothered me too much. I can see pretty well up close still :) i hope you and your eyes are doing well too!! if you have any other questions feel free to ask!
