I'm certainly not impressed with this barely big enough relief road! Just where is the future proffing in this road that looks too small already. Traffic jams right from the start just like the joke of Leeds inner/outer ring roads. So much for tackling pollution😤
Nigel Barker there's a fine line between "relieving congestion" and "new roads creating more traffic". One of the big bottlenecks from westbound traffic intro wakefield is where Doncaster Road meets the road from Normanton and it squeezes under the railway bridge. The new road doubles the capacity for that traffic AND moves some of it away from the Barnsley Road/Ings Road junctions nearer town.
It's great to see it with the black top down compared to when i was working there at the beginning sucking water up every day in the sludge!! Soon be finished!

Not much fish life? Can't see any corals, sponges, seaweeds etc. As a training facility it's fine I suppose. I'd be intrigued to go once perhaps.

I'd bring my own regulator,mask,snorkel,and fins.
