Belgian A5's were not made for shooting they were made for sleeping with.

How did you achieve that gloss finish on the wood furniture? Mine has a matte stain walnut finish like most new models. @roninsanders
Clean the stock very, very good. Couple layers of BLO, then few layers of Tru-Oil,1500-2000grit sand paper and wax buffing will do wonders. Take your time and don't rush.

I have one. It truly is a beautiful rifle. I have put 12 rounds thru it and it does shoot extremely well. hard to believe they are almost 40 years old. This is the only other 1 of 3000 that I have seen. Not sure how many were made.

@@RicTheStreetPreacher excellent! I called Winchester and found out that a large gun shop not too far away has one coming in next year. I went to the store and ordered it! In theory it’s mine whenever it comes in. Wish me luck!
