While studying bass at Samara Academy of Culture, Alexey was rewarded for his talents as a jazz musician. Being part of "New A", his first notable project, he was a composer and an arranger as well.
Since 2012 the main performing activity of Alexey has been with the renewed "Cheese People" band. They released a double album "Mediocre Ape" with Alexey on board.
