    I run a Koni on the rear of mine for an ITR with Ground Control sleeves and I have the opposite issue. Couldn’t go low enough. I had to add slots to lower how far the sleeves would go. I also run helper springs to keep them from falling out of the cups which adds height. Great information!

    • @camerongrady580
      @camerongrady580 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've heard that's the issue with those and is why I hadn't tried them. I really wish the Teins were tweaked ever so slightly. They'd be perfection.

  • @1stGenCRXs
    @1stGenCRXs 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great information. Another down side to BC is you cannot run camber caster plates with them like you can with the Tein or standard style strut.

    • @camerongrady580
      @camerongrady580 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! I can't remember when I mention that, it may be in my "part 2" video. But I do cover that as well. That's a huge downside in my opinion. As these cars really need more camber up front to perform at their best.

    So I just installed this on my 94 GSR, and unfortunately it didn’t work out for me. My shift linkage U joint had no play to begin with. The side to side shifter play was in the transmission selector rod itself. The Tightener made no change. And because of interference with the rubber boot on the selector rod (more difficult to get into 2nd, 4th and reverse), I trimmed it but now the boot is just open and I’m concerned about road grime getting to that seal. So now I’ll have to source another shift linkage to put it back to stock. Hopefully I can sell it and maybe recoup at least some of the cost. Was an expensive experiment.

    Bitch pins are really not that difficult to get out if you use the right tools and have enough space underneath the car to swing a hammer a few times. 3/8ths drop in punch used for electrical work does the trick just right. Perfect OD to push the bitch pin out. You can find those fasteners on amazon for like 5 dollara.

    just installed the tyrannosaur tightener on my 1993 honda civic hatch. the shift linkage was previously connected by just a standard bolt (instead of the infamous bitch pin) so the shift knob was quite sloppy and loose when in gear. this piece certainly did the trick for me and now my shift knob is nice and tight when in gear. very overpriced piece, but I guess that is understandable given the relatively low quantity of these produced. i just figured i'd rather pay the $125+shipping than have to deal with the standard shift linkage "bitch" pin which are annoying to remove and prone to loosen over time anyways. thanks for a solid product!
