The value of stamps listed in the SG Catalogues reflect a highly inflated price. How do SG value stamps from a general point of view?
If I purchased from SG items of stamps for £500 how much would SG give me went I come to sell them?
Thanks for info I hope You can riview Indonesia stamps too😊🙏
Gak ada di brangkas mereka. Barang Indonesia banyak di van Dieten atau CorinPhila Belanda..
@gilanganeh1 ok kk
Excellent! Loved to see the interesting material available. Short and sweet. 🙂Hope there will be more like this in future.
A penny black exists on cover sent by the Bishop of Bath to the Bishop of London. It is dated 3 days before the stamp was officially available. An error by the bishop rather than any attempt at fraud. This is potentially the most valuable penny bkack in existence.
Nice to see some of the excellent material available
We are glad you enjoyed this video, do keep an eye out for more videos and content coming up.
The Dr in the TARDIS
Nothing to beat a good rummage in the vault. Dare we hope for more vids like this?
We will certainly take the suggestion to the team about this, are there any topics you are interested to hear more about?
@StanleyGibbons1856 Hi, as a GB QV line engraved man, I enjoy seeing unusual items in that field, but nevertheless, I did like the range of material from different reigns in this video, too. So, anything with a good story behind it is right up my street.
Excellent, but not long enough!! About 90 mins would suit...
We will certainly take the suggestion to make the video longer! Please keep a look out for new content coming out in 2025.
The items you showed were historic, rare, but also very beautiful. Thanks. I enjoyed the video very much. You two play off each other very well. 🙂
This question does not have anything to do with this video.. I'm wondering if you or any of your viewers have come across a hand stamp reading ANS'D on the back of any stamps.. The one specifically being a 19th century German stamp.. I'm guessing that it's an Authentication cert stamp, but I'm no expert!
Excellent video
I so wish you would have given estimations as to value and you're expectations as to what the stamps will fetch. but interesting all the same. Thank you.

I’m a young(ish) collector. It’s nice to see young presenters on YT and at Stampex etc; it makes me feel less out of place.
Great to see you about!

What a legend
@@oscar4472young why the 4472
For a split second, there, I was wondering where Oscar's specs had got to. Welcome on board, young chap!
I have combined my family tree with a lifetime stamp and postal history collection. It is a chronological record of major family milestones between the postage and commemorative stamps that served them in their day.. This legacy is a valuable heirloom for future generations, the sale or destruction of which is prohibited and protected by the family Curse.
I’ve got a collection that’s over 60 years old according to the copyright on the album with lots of the stamps I’m seeing right now. What can I do about marketing them?
I’ve got my grandmothers collection and I’ve got some of the stamps that I’ve seen on these videos from the 1800s on and some of them are selling for several hundred dollars. How can I tell if mine are the same as the ones that are selling
The music is so annoying and intrusive, I can not concentrate on what you are saying. Switch it off please!
😂 may I suggest Adderall? The music is lovely it does not bother me at all. I find myself resisting the urge to speak with an accent after this video, but the music is fine. 😂
Annoying music
We've inherited a box full of stamps, similar to how you mentioned, many torn off envelopes but some have been organised, but want to organise them and put in correct places and hopefully learn a bit about them. Is there any book or album that will help to organise.
have bought a collection containing Austria from the start to say late 60's, it was a really beautiful setup, but alas, the collector didn't add spaces for items he wouldn't expect to get, the 1908 10 kr stamp forinstance or even missing a few holes for some of the early stamps, I really do enjoy how everything looks, but sadly it's just missing so much so I can't really keep it as it is.
I've got a modern Stanley Gibbons flip guide.. I never realized just how many color variations their can be in some issues! Recently I purchased a rather large accumulation of world wide stamps, including a ton of British/and British common wealth.. tons of older 1/2 sheets with plate #'s .. these range from the 1930's through the 1957 coronation! Plus thousands of mint and used stamps from the 19th century... The gentleman that I bought them from was in his late 90's and wanted a caretaker for his precious material..
Enjoyed your album presentation video. Recently i procured a large unmounted, and boxed collection of early to mid 20th century worldwide stamps.. would enjoy talking with you to maybe gain a bit of knowledge..
What a great job, Philatelist!
Blacks costing a penny? That's racist! lol
😂
you should have shown it close up.
How does one know a stamp's survival rate?
Thank you so much for another insightful video about the Penny Black! For info, a couple of days ago I made a video about two 1940 FDCs I own commemorating the centennial of the Black Penny. If you wish to take a look, here is the link: th-cam.com/video/usyfkJbwyos/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-cJ1Uko0eNLaoSXc
Excellent gift 💙
Thanks for another interesting video. So clearly explained and well spoken. It is interesting that this very first stamp can be relatively cheap if it doesn't have the best quality and e.g. proper margins. Historically I think it is still pretty awesome, regardless the quality and grade of the stamp. I would not mind finding a cheap one for my collection.
I feel so happy and proud to see a young talented man like you talking philately so properly. God bless
Love your videos
This is sooo racist!!

Excellent gift 💙
Gum doesn't really age well and too much value is placed on the wrong thing. I would be happy to buy mint penny blacks with nice margins having no gum at those huge discounts. The visual appeal is the front, who admires the back anyway.
