DR. JULIE: SIGNS THAT SOMEONE IS NOT A TRUE FRIEND
Dr. Julie is a psychologist who started putting videos on TikTok to make information about mental health more accessible but she never dreamed her videos would become as big as they did… With an audience of over 7 million, and the biggest-selling book of 2022, she’s someone I’ve wanted to chat to for a long time because the work she does is truly incredible.
What I love most about Dr Julie is her refreshing honesty - she never claims to have it all figured out, and she’s so clear in her explanations. She shared insight into relationships, from why we avoid difficult conversations to how past experiences shape our reactions. She explained why we’re often drawn to familiar dynamics, even when they’ve previously been unhealthy, and how to break the cycle. We also explored friendship, the importance of allowing these relationships to evolve and sometimes let go too.
This conversation is a powerful reminder that, in taking the time to understand ourselves, we can shape our futures as more self-aware and empathetic people.

GABRIEL BASSO: I ONLY CRY ON MY BIRTHDAY
มุมมอง 38K16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
The Night Agent’s Gabriel Basso paints me for this special extra episode of show - Good Times in Great Company. Gabriel Basso is known for his role as Peter in Netflix’s runaway success, ‘The Night Agent’, fighting the bad guys in this high stakes action filled thriller. However, people might not know that Gabriel is an accomplished artist, so I got out my teasel - I mean easel - for him to dra...
LUKE EVANS: I KNEW THE BULLYING AT SCHOOL WAS ONLY TEMPORARY
มุมมอง 11K21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Growing up in the Valleys, to London’s West End to the big screen in Hollywood, Luke Evans joins me in the studio and his story is incredible! Raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, in a strict religious community, Luke knew his true identity was in conflict with his beliefs. After persistent bullying throughout his schooling, at age 16, he left home, and his new life began. From strength to strength, ...
RUBY WAX: I DID NOT LOVE MY PARENTS
มุมมอง 52K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Ruby Wax is a legend in the world of interviewers; having spoken to the likes of Donald Trump and O.J. Simpson, she’s a person I’ve long admired and feel an affinity to in our interview styles, so I was really excited to have her join me on the show this week. Ruby was disarmingly charming, opening up about her relationship with her parents, admitting she never truly knew or felt love for them....
JASON DERULO: BREAKING MY NECK LED TO MY BIGGEST SUCCESS
มุมมอง 9K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
Jason Derulo is a force of nature: a global hitmaker who’s sold over 250 million singles and been writing songs since the age of 8. Beyond his chart-topping career, he’s also a savvy entrepreneur and an inspiring storyteller. I’ll admit, I was a little star-struck sitting down with him, but I was excited to uncover the more human side of the pop icon-and to learn what drives his relentless succ...

As Luke Evans Fans, he is a limited edition. He is One of a Kind. Very inspirational. ❤❤❤❤
Regarding mental health, what bothers me is I can't relate to there being no break, I can't imagine living in depression every day. That makes it difficult to understand the one who is suffering from it.
Thank you for saying you weren't sad when your parents died. My father was bipolar and had affairs, it caused so much damage. I was so relieved when he died. People don't like hearing that. They want me to say I loved him even though he hurt me. I didn't.
I adore her
We love Gabe!!! and his character Peter is definitely a great reflection of him. He's articulate, honest and deep.
Having seen a few of Gabriel’s interviews he is pretty straightforward in way he thinks, likes his privacy, and is very no nonsense. A lot of interviewers seemed disarmed by his frankness and don’t know what to do with it because he’s not interested in superficial conversations. This one was fun since we got to see him draw.
Can we say in general please? When children have had disruptive starts that isn’t necessarily learned behaviour from their parents..
I just love Gabe Basso. Absolutely love him. He's probably the smartest "celebrity" out there.
33:14 pie and piss 😂😂😂
He emanates compassion and joy. Wonderful listen.
Totally 💯
Did anyone else have their ears blown off by the Paloma advert at the end? 🤯
A heartbreak thing is truly devastating.
I just love how she talks plainly, no psychobabble, and her use of images and metaphor means you just get what she is explaining. She has a gift of being able to simplify difficult things. And her values are clear and spot on. She's brilliant, and her work is so helpful
Doesn't really matter that they cheated him out of winning Idol, he became much more than the straight guy who won. Does anyone remember the name of the guy who won? I bet not. But everyone knows Adam,.
I don’t understand why she thinks anyone is interested in her daft life
I am glad that you said that you look like Jamie's brother. It's exactly what I was thinking while watching this. Amazing interview.
Jamie if ypu don't get your own chat show/ presenting gig one day on tv ill eat my hat....😊😅!! Ps love gabe!!
Great interview..!
I fucking love this guy. He is so real. We need more of this.
Such a strong man to turn away from bullies and what a beautiful man he has turned out to be❤
She is so incredible, we all need a dr.Julie as a friend.
There is a very old saying that you can count your true friends on one hand, all others are acquaintances!! All my friends I’ve had for over 45 years and yes there are 5!!
Amo a Gabriel, me encanta su personalidad jajaja es tan sincero, amo la serie 🎉🎉👏👏🥰
Amazing episode! so interesting
Dr julie cares i literally feel so emotional as a person who struggles with my mental health. Ive literally never been so excited for a podcast 🥹❤
That’s a friend ❤
Dr Julie is like a comfort blanket through the screen 🩷
"Don't worry, we'll go through it together" is the most lovely and supportive comment for someone to say to you when you're struggling.
So good ❤
So good that he talks about boarding school, as what it is: negative experience. People always hide behind it being a good English experience but it really does screw you up being given away, which it essentially is. He is fantastic.
Anti smoking people are so preachy and annoying
Ruby Wax thought she was going to dominate and humiliate Trump but she miscalculated him. It was excruciating to watch, and she got what she deserved. Look it up yourself if you want to see the truth. She more than met her match.
and in a world where jesters do become famous and sit on the throne, I think we made the right call with Gabriel
God, how much crawling can one man do ?!?
It's called empathy.
@ sorry, that sounded harsh, but he wasn’t empathising - empathy is the skill of being able to understand what someone is going through and offer them support, rather than telling them you know how they feel, which is sympathising. However, we hadn’t even got that far, but in the very beginning, he was so apparently star struck by Dr.Julie before she even came on camera that it really was a turn off ☹️
@Witchezcat alright Einstein . Love to see u have the guts to do a podcast and ask questions which other hosts are too scared to ask.
@@M_789x Einstein ??? You’ve lost me there ?!?! As for doing a podcast and asking difficult questions - I’ve done that, but more often I have chaired meetings of people at opposite ends of the political spectrum - now *that* took guts I can assure you ! Regardless- my comment wasn’t about his ability as a host, but his over-enthusiastic, effusive and rather cringy attitude towards the guest ! That’s my take on it, anyway, and last time I checked we all had the right to have one of those lol 😂
I this the first time you've seen Jamie's podcast? He's like this with eveyone
Amazing interview! Love them both, Jamie definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Brilliant!!
0:08 awesome! I had that thought a couple of years ago when I realized that I didn't have a meaning in life, and struggled to think of one (I think I still don't), while thinking that some people do, and came to the same conclusion, 'They must be deciding it for themselves, or adopting it when they hear one they like' :D
I absolutely adore Jo Brand xx❤❤ she is a legend she’s so real and she s compassionate and I absolutely love to listen to her x she’s always been so real and a beautiful soul xx ❤️❤️❤️
I love s club 7. Is one of my fav bands. I discovered them in 2009-2010 I think. Their songs are precious, I really love their voices. And Rachel is one of my fav, ofc.
What a lovely interview. Both nice people x
Lol no one touch it 😂
He is such an amazing person!
love her. hate the men who constantly insulted her in the 90s/00s. fk them.
This header needs to change. Either it's a misogynistic dig or you forgot that jo brand was a woman. what do you mean antidepressants saved HIS life??? She's a woman.
Did you watch the interview? It’s referring to her dad but I agree, it’s not the best title as it doesn’t make sense without context.
What an incredible person Ruby is 💚
"What is the thing the most scare me ?... my ego"
There is a spell in this room talk for we watching get depressed and bored. And It has nothing to do personal.
