A day in the life of an Antarctic plumber.....
An edit made up of a few videos from my time at Mawson Station in 2015/16. Watching this myself brings back a lot of fond memories of good times had and friendships made. I was extremely fortunate to be selected by the AAD to spend thirteen months in the most beautiful and untouched part of our planet. Please note any opinions expressed are my own and not necessarily that of the AAD or any of my fellow expeditioners.

A brief walk in a blizzard (a regular part of my daily life in Antarctica)

Just a quick video filmed during a light blizzard of 53 knots. This route was a routine for me each morning to check our water supply, pumps etc.
RotoVegas, Bunny Jugs 1, Grade 3 (?)
มุมมอง 285วันที่ผ่านมา
Bunny Jugs is the best way to get back to the shuttle pick up from the bottom of Hot Cross or Te Poaka.....
RotoVegas, Tuteata, Grade 4
มุมมอง 287วันที่ผ่านมา
My all time faaaavourite trail in Rotorua. Fast, technical and challenging to the rider of average skill. Tuteata is a must do for me every time I'm in the Redwoods, in fact this day I rode it twice.
RotoVegas, Te Poaka, Grade 3

Te Poaka. Endless flow sums it up really. Another fun trail for every skill level.
RotoVegas, Eagle vs Shark, Grade 3 (last send before they cut the pines)
มุมมอง 206วันที่ผ่านมา
The crowd favourite, Eagle vs Shark. No explanation is needed for what I think is one of NZ's most loved and widely known trails. So stoked to get to ride it one last time before it is destroyed by logging activity.
Whitehills, Kerikeri MTB Club, "Freedom", Grade Four
มุมมอง 213วันที่ผ่านมา
Our newest trail, Freedom can only be descibed as EPIC. A true grade four that is a test for the average rider. The top section through the pines is a flowy delight which leads to narrow single track as you enter the native forest. A rooty drop is the first test, but one which looks a lot worse than it is. The rest of the trail is tight bermy corners, a few rock, a few roots, and plenty of gnar...
Whitehills Kerikeri MTB Club, Antiloam, Grade Three
มุมมอง 23314 วันที่ผ่านมา
Antiloam is the fun way to end your ride at Whitehills. Scratched out of the pines this trail will take you back to the car park from the shuttle drop off point at the top of New World Order. Rough and ready, it's a nice little adrenalin kick to reward you for the final grind up the hill. Ride it as fast or as slow as you like. Watch out for traffic on shuttle days as there are a couple of fore...
Whitehills Kerikeri MTB Club, Full Phloe, (incl Native). Grade Three
มุมมอง 12314 วันที่ผ่านมา
This edtion takes in the full extent of our first ever trail built at Whitehills. The entire run is almost a full top to bottom experience, the top half through the pines, and the bottom half winding through beautiful native forest. Phloe is a true club effort. Many cold and dark winter Tuesday nights were spent by a number of clubbies benching a rock and clay trail through the native. The resu...
Whitehills Kerikeri MTB Club, "MMP", "Quicklink", "More MMP" (or MMP Extension), "GAS".
มุมมอง 84หลายเดือนก่อน
Following on from the previous video that ended abruptly..... This is the continuation of the easy trails from top to bottom. Any novice rider will live Braap, MMP, and MMP Extension. Gas may seem a bit more of a challenge but we guarantee once you've ridden it you'll love it. Take your time, and there's a couple of steeper parts you may choose to walk the first time (a couple of meters at a ti...
Whitehills Kerikeri MTB Club, "Braap", "More MMP" Grade Three
มุมมอง 76หลายเดือนก่อน
Braap is a genuine Grade Three. If you love Waitangi MTB Park you will love Braap. Flowy, big berms, loads of free speed. From Braap we go into MMP (More Mallow Puff, not Mallowpuff as I stated in the vid). Check back soon for the second half of this video where we ride right to the bottom.
Whitehills Kerikeri MTB Club, Phloe, Grade Three
มุมมอง 78หลายเดือนก่อน
The OG of all our club trails at Whitehills Forest. Phloe was our first effort at trail building on new ground, and wow! We were so green. From here much goodness has developed. Phloe is a great trail to develop confidence on. If you can use your brakes, you can ride Phloe. Often chosen by locals as a warm up trail due to it's cruisy nature, however still exciting for the senders amongst us. Th...

Seven Sins again. This time slower with SuperEnduroBro behind the camera.
Whitehills Kerikeri MTB Club, Quickstep, Next Step, Guilty as Sin (GAS). Mix of Grade Four and Five
มุมมอง 185หลายเดือนก่อน
This video features a series of Whitehills classics and the latest kid on the block. Dropping into Quickstep you hit the first of three drops. If they ain't your thing the first and last have easy ride arounds. On from there we transit to Next Step via Quick Link. Next Step looks intimidating until you ride it. The drop in is off a fallen log with a sweet as berm to catch your fall. It looks te...
