PAYC has supported the youth of this city for many years, they offered sailing programs for younger children and so much more and these greedy scumbags denied a lease agreement with PAYC thinking they would be getting kickbacks for this crooked developer. I hope they vote this idiot out of office for being so dumb, every city councilman that voted with this idiot to kick out a long standing sailing club just to fill their pockets needs to be voted out of office.

The operative word is “choose”. If it’s required, maybe depending on the city’s specific laws and how they’re written; however, this is a choice (as he stated over and over again) so you choose to be a member and you choose to pay it out of your own pocket.
