Hello and welcome to my channel!
I started this originally to post game-play clips and steams, but as anyone probably have noted I was not that active. I have changed this to a hobby channel e.g. I post a video now and then with stuff that I'm working on regarding LEGO.

And those night lights are amazing - wondrous.
Thank you, not the best shot but phone can only do so much.
That characteristic sound of the 12V engine is so unmistakeable!
I love that sound, he! even the cat's love it sometimes they wait around the table just for me to run it.
Interesting to see the 9V and 12V system combined! But I think there is a scenario, where a short circut might occur: On a switch track (switched in straight direction), the connectors of a 12V train motor running over it cross the copper tape of the 9V line (first switch track at 0:35). The connectors themselves are not cut short due to the angle. However, as the motor has two pairs of connectors, one pair can create a bridge between the copper tape and the 12V line. So while riding over it, the motor will connect both its lines to one 9V line each at a time which will result in one short circut between both transformers. I suggest isolating the copper tape with a piece of plastic tape on top of it in the area of the 12V power line. This way, the copper tape will remain connected beneath. A 9V motor will not be affected as the wheels cover the roughly 1cm of isolation easily.
Yes, you are correct. I scraped off the top layer a bit more later to avoid the "occasional" short. Your suggestion using clear tape is a good one and probably a better solution long-term.
great video and great show off of the semi truck! I don't like replacement stickers! I prefer the real ones ;-)
Well I do prefer them too but often they are in a shabby state and the few original still left out there is just to costly. I do have a full original set for 7745 and 7730 though 😁
You've expanded your setup so much, I love it!
@@Reker1million Thank you, I do a bit now and then but I have run out of space as I can't fit all of my sets 😅
Hurry open the box the cat is waiting
haha! Yes, he's impatient.
Those are some nice looking old sets. Your cat looks a lot like one of ours, and is equally helpful! 🤣
Yes I confirmed the bricks last night and it was all good, even got a few extras. We actually have 4 cats... a bit much if you ask me even though they are fun and you can see they all have different personalities.
@pastajensen We have 3 cats ourselves. One who sits in everything, one who sits on everyone, and one who bothers the other two. The third one also destroyed my BlueBrixx USS Excelsior today so maybe we only need 2 cats.
@@joe-bowling One of our younger cats massacred a bird in our bed... She looked so pleased lying there in the middle of a whole lot of feathers.
Yay first! Classic town and boxes! Nice! I don't like how the stickers go across multiple bricks in that time, but that was how it was back then. Edit: Also I like how you talk to the cat ignores you when you talk to him in English but complains when you talk to him in Norsk.
Yes! Ja I agree with the stickers statement so I was happy to see that they where intact / not cut where the panels joins. I feel that my cat ignores me no matter what language I speak to him.
GAS GAS GAS!
Nice to see it finally in working condition, I've never seen anyone else do something like this. Great layout!!
@@nkende Thank you, I took my time as I changed the layout several times during the process, but hey! It took less than a year.
All great trains, but I do love that Metro Liner.
That is a priced one and was found in the loft of my parent's in law.
@@pastajensen That's a great find. I won't have stories like that, but my guess is I am creating a lot of future stories of finding old LEGO sets for future generations. And by the looks of thing, you are too.
@@alexnunes I do envy my children in that regard 😅
Wow! Impressive! And the layout is cool. Looks more like a model railway than a Lego city, partly because of that great train collection.
@@BricksOnAnIsland Danke! I have more train sets, but not enough ahem... *SPACE*
@pastajensen 😁 Jep, that is a problem I have with my Lego and even more with my model railway
@@BricksOnAnIsland I remember that I got a Märklin set but as my childhood LEGO it got thrown away 😢 But I'll keep my hobbies to Skiing and LEGO
Those vintage town sets are awesome to see in a train layout.
I went all in on childhood memories/dreams 😎
Absolutely awesome. Great job. The setup is incredibly. Back into the childhood 😊👍🥳
Thank you :D Yes it's indeed back to the childhood, that is the stuff I dreamt of as a child.
Wow, nice to see the running layout. Very clickity clacky... I am jelly 😊 Looking forward to seeing more... And on that note, I hope your electrician can fix that short in your lighting 😂
I love that sound to and so do the cats, we do have an in-house electrician and he just runs with it :D (yes that's me).
Nice camera work. Which camera are you using on the FPV shots? Also, that shrill voiced "ssstTTOPPPa!!" is a very familiar one to me. LOL
Had it planned for a while but did not have the energy (besides a few minor adjustments on the track system) before now, filming was the easy part, editing took quite some time. I used an old gopro borrowed from my brother in-law for the FPV shots.
I just loved the on point no BS answer from my daughter after the matter of the fact 🤣
Very cool! I like the ride-along video. And of course the bloopers. 🤣
Haha! Thank you, the "blooper-reel" was my son's idea.
This is great! Love it!
Thank you, took "forever" to edit :D
oops, train crash... LOL
I had a few more but to much profanity to edit out... :D
@@pastajensen😂
What a great layout, and those lights. LEGO really did train right back in the day...
Thank you, yes they did both the 12V bricks are great to add lights for buildings, trains and lampposts. The 9V bricks are nice too, but the cabling over longer distances are made more difficult due to the connection system.
Great video and wonderful Lego city!
Thank you, happy you liked it :)
Awesome haul! Is it easy to get old sets like that in Austria?
@@tynovel I'm honestly not sure, this was a gift from a good friend of me. I have a collection of 70's Legoland sets with boxes, those I mainly got from BL sellers in Sweden 😅
Happy new Year!
Makes me wonder why the instructions said "zonder rails" (without rails)
Ha! Good catch, I did not read it I just assumed it was a name written on it. I guess the former owner/seller pieced it together, as it seems to be different hand writing on the box.
Cool video and nice set! I have it also already in my collection and channel. Too bad for the condition of your manual.... but mine is also a bit cracked and glued togheter with tape... It's hard to find in a pristine condition. Happy New Year!
Thanks and Happy New Year! Yes I remember watching it a while back. You do a really good presentation of your collection.
Thanks!
Fantastic Set 😮
Indeed 😉
Nice vintage set. Godt nytt år!

@@BrickTrains The best snowman 😁 Happy new year!
Damn, your city is kinda cool you gotta show to TD bricks
Thanks! This was my 1st try on stop-motion the videos that came after are much better.
@ I only have one stop-motion like plane
How many pieces do you think there are
@FamilienMortensenAls The whole town? Not sure 😅 But the train have 786 bricks (including the platform).
Er du fra danmark
Litt lengre nord 😉, er fra Norge men bur i Østerrike.
It looks like you have fun making the hybrid. Since I watched one of your videos, TH-cam is now recommending me to watch the rest! Ha det!
It is fun I add and test when I have time thanks for watching and your nice comments. I also noted that you have posted a couple of impressive LEGO city videos as well. Takkar og God Jul!
This looks great! Keep up the good work
Thank you, will do!
The layout is looking really good.
Thanks 😁
