Good info sir!
@@renegade-shank762 thank you
Great video Bomer mate. This seems like it would be really useful to vulture pilots who are unloading a little bit at a time but not so useful if you have a caterpillar full since you'd have to unload the cat to get the commodity into the warehouse to then put them into bigger boxes though maybe im missing something still lol You're a gentleman and a scholar a true hero of the verse o7
Glad it was helpful!
Listen here we all know Padeyes are drains Z-Man now gaslighting across multiple channels.
Ouchie!
🎉
Good work. I’m my option, those brackets are on the best way.
That's some great stuff!
Thank you
Good idea, but just a heads up. You will want to keep an eye on your fasteners holding the bunks on. Treated wood is corrosive and those lags looked like zinc plated, not galvanized. You don't have your treated wood touching any apart of your aluminum trailer, so your probably good there, but you could loose those lags, do to corrosion, pretty quickly. You see people using treated wood in aluminum boats all the time, thinking that it is the best material for the job, but it is not. The copper used in the wood treatment will attack the aluminum.
Very good point. The lags I used are galvanized. I hate zinc anything because it just doesn't last. Again, great point that I should have pointed out in the video.
How tight did you tighten the bolt ? does it have to be semi loose ?
"Very snug"
Same happened to me. How did u get the black pieces out? Mine snapped cleaned
Once I had it all the way apart I used some extra long thin needle nose pillars I have to grab the broken pieces.
Thanks for the vid ! Is there a way I can get that manual you have ?

Looks great! However, you did not drink NEARLY enough beer to grill. Haha, cheers bud!
Mercury's repair manuals are really hard to find unless you shell out money. I have a 8M0176287 controller attached to a tiny 20 4-stroke EFI motor and it has a broken trim switch. Don't feel like paying $89 for a damn repair manual for accessories. I just can't find diagrams or a spare part switch anywhere for this controller and the Chinese sources typically supply parts mostly for one generation older controllers. Mercury is pretty crappy with openness and right to repair. What a shame.
exactly what I needed! Thank you
Great video. BUT How did you connect the black and black and yellow kill switch wires? I can't find anything
That is on the base unit inside the gunnel. It's at the very back of the large metal piece that you slide in first during base assembly. The plugs for it are further back inside the gunnel.
My trim switch just went bad on my shifter your video was the only one I could find on a repair mine is same shifter u have great job Thanks
Thank you!
awesome, just what I needed!
Nummy!! 😋
I’ve Forgot to put the cover plate on before and now can’t get the push button back out to get to the pivot bolt. How does that spring loaded button come back off ?
If I'm reading the question correctly, engage throttle only by pushing in the button and moving the throttle lever forward. Then push in the button and quickly release allowing it to kind of pop loose. At that point you should be able to grab it by the edges and pull it out. You may need to try this a few times slightly adjusting the leaver position each time to get it in the right place.
@@bomerfett3836 yeah that’s what I need off. I’ve tried that but I’ll try again. I’ve seen people posting that they’ve broken them by prying them out.
But there was no Taco's, P.S. if you still have my Address please send 2 maybe 3 Tacos Please lol that looked Good
Good call. I totally forgot to show how to put the taco together. Dang it.
Hey I know the cook!!!
A way to remember is blue sky up and green grass down and the red is battery power
Engage the throttle only button before putting the lever forward and the button should come right out.
Thank you. Hopefully I will remember that next time. LOL
Hi, Great video, What is the name of the control you are working on?? I need to order the switch for mine which looks the same. Thanks Bernie
It's the tilt and trim switch. I ordered both on Amazon. Switch on the motor - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003907O0C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Switch on the throttle - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098CXSFPT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
We have a 2004 Mercury 115 hp 4-Stroke. The same switch goes up no problem. Down is a pain to get it in the right spot to work. I need to change out the switch. As far as I know outboard is 0T178500. Do you have any idea of correct switch on these. I have looked and all kinds. Mercury parts site is of no good don't even see the switch. Plus 2004 Mercury might not even have parts. Any suggestions on switch to get? Great video on what is needed to change the switch.

Thank you!! I'm pretty happy with it.

You know it! :)
Very well done video. Thank you very much.
That's wild! Which release was that? 3.3?
