In this video we take a close up look at the new anbernic rg40xxv a vertical handheld with a big 4 inch display and a great dpad. Its not a perfect device but, I think it feels far more premium than the price tag attached to it. 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 NOTE I had some issues when filming as i am using new camera gear im not familiar with but i was able to do my best to piece this back together

I ordered the green one cause of how beautiful it looks but seeing the red is also like DAMN look at that sexy color. But still green is so so aesthetic and looks absolutely adorable that yeah i wish i could order them both lol but ye

I just ordered mine. I only got the anbernic sp the other day and i see. The rg406v and i had to have it 😅😂 cant wait to get it. Im just hoping theres games pre installed on it because im not very technical when it comes to downloading roms

@@aqua_Laura it’s a great machine I recommend following Russ from Retrogamecorps guides on setting up and android handheld he also made a fantastic video on getting emulation station up on android as well

why no one is testig native android games like genshin, Minecraft.
@@Analougeguy lots of people do but but given the 4:3 screen many of the games just don’t scale or look quite right and its got enough power for sure

@@ShadowDSi the sticks on the 405v are pretty awful in comparison they snap hard to cardinal directions

@@Raphtor13 I will be getting a review unit for the retroid pocket 5 and I do plan to build a fpgbc in the future I love their kits I’ve made them before

Just got mine yesterday, havin a blast with it. & its my 2nd retro handheld from my analogue pocket. This seems a bit better to me imo.

I have the kit and receiver, feel free to ask me any questions. The receiver currently has issues with certain game titles like Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Bros, and a firmware update is definitely needed before it's viable, FYI.

@@ToddTronics What I've discovered so far: The R trigger doesn't work/register in Luigi's Mansion, the left analog stick does weird "snap to the bottom of the screen" things in SSB, and the left analog stick is a bit too sensitive for Mario Kart DD and it makes it almost impossible to drift. I've also noticed that the receiver currently doesn't talk correctly to GNC controller adapters for Switch or Wii U and gives random, incorrect inputs at weird times. When the controller is bluetoothed directly to Switch, though, it works perfectly fine. All signs are pointing to the adapter needing an update, so far.

I saw this channel advertised over in the RH Creators Hub in Discord. I figured that I'd check out your channel. If this video is representative of the content you produce then I expect that you'll have a bright future on TH-cam. I like the 40XX-V. I certainly wouldn't turn one down. I'll admit a certain annoyance that there's only one analog stick present. I believe that emulation handhelds should either have no sticks or two sticks. Other than that, which isn't a big deal to me, I think it's a lovely unit.

@@LastBlackStone there will be one I should hopefully get my retroid pocket 5 a bit earlier thank most so I do plan on doing a comparison but keep in mind there is a $60 price difference between the two
I'm considering to buy one of these on next December but I'm little bit that I won't ve able to play any racing games as Need For Speed Most Wanted or Carbon. What about Grand Turismo? or sandbox games as Grand Theft Auto vice city or San Andreas?

I just ordered mine. I asked them if they can ship it to me sooner so I can do a showcase/mod video on it installing it in a old broken wavebird. Hope they get back to me 😆
I pre ordered just the mod kit for a broken black controller I got for free after and ebay seller sent me a broken black one instead of a working one. Stoked to turn it into a wireless one for smash on the switch. Depending on how much I like it, I might swap it into my white controller. Can't wait for it to show up!

@@nickwood7472 if the receiver is 2.4gz it would be less than your standard Xbox controller so I think it would be fine I also play my GameCube on a crt so there’s also that factor lol
I have the receiver and kit, I notice no input lag with the receiver whatsoever, however it's currently wonky with certain game titles (Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart DD, and a couple others), and the receiver clearly needs a firmware update before it's viable

All that matters to me is that it can run ps2 games without a problem .
@@therabidpancake1 it can run I’d say 90% of games I’ve found that some need for speed games can struggle but most of the big hit games run amazing and upscaled

When anybody says crispy, I just cringe. Usually, usually it is a way that people can try to sound smart and creative when they’re not or in this case used to describe something in a way that you people don’t understand so they think it’s great when it’s really not. I’m not saying that’s the case here but typically on the standard yes
@@Master-Pizza420 in the case of resolution I think crispy makes sense since the opposite of sharp and crisp would be soft and that’s how a low resolution imagine appears

How is the comfort playing 1++ hours using the analog sticks? I wonder. I’m disappointed we can’t use display output to tv for co-op and charge at the same time. Is there some solution for this like a dock maybe? Otherwise this device would be perfect imo.
@@Wavetheory85 no I don’t think the motherboard supports going that so no accessories are gonna change that and comfort isn’t bad I played a lot of SSX tricky last night lol
@@ToddTronics okay, thanks. This device is the one I really want, just wish it could charge and play on tv. I guess I’ll end up with at least 3 devices. I just started with Miyoo mini+ trying to hold off until holiday season.
