Hi everyone Liam here of LJ Scale Models - two (2) years back at the hobby. Building a variety of aircraft and amour, not too sure what my nice is, its still early days, however, really enjoying building what I have on my hobby desk. I'm just trying to be a better modeller trying new and different methods of painting and weathering.

Airfix 1/72 Scale Bristol Blenheim Mk. IV F - Part 2 Update
Hi Gang, welcome to another video in the series of this 1/72 scale Blenheim. This progress update shows the disaster I had with the cockpit / fuselage and the fittings issues I encountered, suffice to say it turned out OK in the end from my point of view, I enjoyed the channel and it tested my modelling skills.

Good job on the red and white Scheme Liam the rigging can be a pain at times I've used guitar strings in the past for rigging just cut to size and a dot of CA glue 👍👍

Nice building Liam the 48 scale from hobby boos is a good build built a few in the past Italeri has a few as well much cheaper than Tamiya version👍👍

nice work! a red and white checkerboard scheme, rigging, thats a heck of a kit for a relaxation build! that said I've picked up a 1/72 tiger moth from lidl which is a red fuselage with silver wings I want to get stuck into when I get some room on my bench.

A wise choice changing the camo as I think that the Cromwell was a late war tank and only used on D day and after. With all that snow the makings would be pretty much invisible, a nice build, cheers Liam.

Hi Liam, nice to see you back with a new build, this looks quite a challenge to me. I have just got an Airfix 1/72 Tiger Moth from LIDL and have some Infini rigging line on it's way, I've never rigged a biplane before so this will be fun, or mine may end up in the bin, lol.

The Eduard, Meng and Airfix kits are thought to be the 3 best P-51D kits available. The Tamiya kit is let down by a too-simple cockpit and the incorrect wheel wells. In order, 1st is the Eduard, 2nd Airfix and 3rd Meng (Also a bit simplified as it is supposed ly a snap-fit, but it is more accurate then Tamiya's. Tamiya is 4th then the rest. I really like the Airfix versions, I have like 6 of them.... but not this latest... yet. One word of advice: When assembling the Radiator make sure BOTH radiator faces are a flush fit to the housing or the fuselage will never go together around it. IF one radiator face (the front part) sits proud, trim it off flush - it will not be seen behind the oil cooler part. This has been an issue for me on the 2 that I have built. (Steps 11 to 15 in the Instructions.)

That's a nice build Liam, I think that I overdid the weathering on my Tamiya Cromwell, I used buff paint well thinned but the more I look at it. the more it looks okay. We are learning all the time and learn by making mistakes, next time it will be better, cheers mate.

Great build, but don't be too trusting of the printed colours on box art and instruction sheets , they can look very different to the real thing 🙂👍
