This is bad ass. I like the format. I have never been to the radcliff mine. was it a big one?
im heading there in 7 days!
Yes 👍🏻 I am will have have
Where is this located at?
This is in Death Valley, CA along the South Park Canyon Trail. I did a write up on the entire Pleasant Canyon Loop Trail when I used to work for Trails Offroad. Here's the link: www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/920-pleasant-canyon-loop-trail
This music explains Jeeple traffic more. Spotting each other over or off any thing curb size or more. I thought they were just people that lived where there was no traffic. Traveling in groups of 10-30 in a slow traffic crawl. Wave if you see me toasting a hello. See me here....th-cam.com/video/D4lSk48-_0o/w-d-xo.html

i so want to do this but it always looks so sketchy to me lol even tho its not deep.
Would this trail be ok for a 4x2? I Have a 04 ram 1500 with 6"lift and 35" A/T tires.
It's got some loose rocks that might be a challenge. I prefer to have a 4WD so you can drive slowly without throwing rocks everywhere and possibly damaging your vehicle or the trail.
cool presentation! The decent is an E-ticket ride, but too scared to forge high water in the Canyon? We did this two weeks ago coming down from Northern California. The guy in front of me in a JKU stopped and reversed back out at the same spot in your video which had over two feet of water after the last storm. Carpet takes FOREVER to dry out- we turned around too.
I thought people are not allowed on striped butte
I never heard that. There was a log book on top with lot of hikers names in it.
Just curious is that stock height or lifted? Got the exact same rig.. heading to Mengel soon after 3" lift install.
It's lifted 2.5" in front, 1.5" in rear.
For what it's worth, these hills are called the Noble Hills.
FUN !!!
This makes me sad, As i love JEEP
is that open year round? can you shoot out there?
Yes, the Mojave Road is open year round. I don't know about shooting anywhere else along the road but I'm sure it's probably illegal within the Mojave Natural Preserve.
love that trail. did you guys air down? that was a lot of slipping
I don't recall. This was over a year ago. I'm sure we did but to how much, I don't remember.
how did the rig roll.?
The left handed corner had a steep drop and when the rear passenger tire went up in the air, the driver turned the wrong way which caused the roll. It was a difficult turn though as there were other obstacles that he was trying to avoid hitting.
Hi Marc, I really enjoyed your video. I would like to buy a HD copy on CD or Flash drive of the rock at around 4:23. I think it is a great still. Thanks, even if you wont sell. I hope you had a good trip
The coordinates of the split rock are N35° 8.055', W115° 24.336'. I found it off of Google Panoromia before I headed out there.
When was this video taken? Seems like every time I go to 1N09 the gates closed.
August 2016
Thanks for that Marc. Still have to work on mine.
GREAT video!!! Glad I got you going up and down at Gobler's Knob and didn't shake too much. Video just doesn't do it justice though. - this is Karyn, sorry, signed in as Charles!
So true about the video and the hill steepness. Thanks for shooting me. I went back on Google Earth and it says that that hill has an approximately 35-40% grade.
What camera did you shoot this with. Nice zoom. I recently purchased an Nikon P910 for those long shots ;)
how was the mojave trail? I am thinking of doing it this year. any recommendations
It was a fun trip! It was cold at night but the drive was easy.
That looks amazing Marc!
The house at the 5 minute mark is where we saw the Mojave Green rattlesnake on the last trip. I guess there's plenty of food (rodents) for him there so that's why he was hanging out.
Marc, can you open access to this video to other countries? I would like to share it with my mom and brother but they aren't allowed.
+Nicolas de Fontenay Are they not able to access youtube? The file is really large. I'll try uploading it in Dropbox when I get home later tonight.
+Marc Nitz no :/ turns out it's the music that's copyrighted and not allowed outside of the US.
Great video Marc!
I need to bring my tripod next time so the camera doesn't shake so much when zoomed in.
