I worked for Waner & Swasey in the early 70's and they had a Ingersoll planer mill that made yours look small. It was literally as big as a house . I sharpened the 12" face mills that ran on that machine on a Ingersoll automatic cutter grinder . The cutters ran at a depth of 5/8" and 80 rpm and 27inches a minute cutting cast iron. A very impressive machine and the largest I ever saw.

@Mr170243 Hi I started an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering a year ago and now currently operate this planer. Just letting you know, that in the day where milling machines are becoming more and more prevalent, the good conventional planers are still more efficient and cost effective in a lot of cases.
